Feed back first...
@Glue Reed: Dig man. I'm liking this, a lot of cool percussive sounds in the back of the mix keeping things interesting. Nice sub bass, nice changes and movement to it. I feel like if this were my track I'd do a version with a subtler, more processed midrange synth just to see what else I could do with it. The second drop isn't doing it for me though. You loose all the space the track had previously for something that really isn't that interesting. All in all I think you are in that DMZ/Kryptic Minds vibe though.
@ideate: I like glitchiness and the way the track seems to jerk the listening this way and that. I feel like I want the track to boom more in the low end, or have something that fills out those frequency ranges a tad. The snare sounds kind of weak/flat to me.
@ezeckial: Neuro bass, getting there. There is a cool thread about the production forum on "creamy bass" right now that might lend you some pointers there.
Hand that Feeds: I think mix down problems here maybe? The kick booms a fair amount. The snare is way back in the mix and weak. Also this doesn't sound that different from the original to me really, I appreciate what you are doing after the second drop with that new SFX (almost a reverse of some kind?). I appreciate, as someone else mentioned, that it doesn't sound like you just dropped a half step drum pattern on top of this, but I think you need to make it more your own. Where is your voice here?
My WIP:
This is actually somewhat old, but as my studio is currently packed up in a box thought I'd throw this up for some feedback. Thanks!

Fragments - Awesome sounds in the intro, the atmosphere in this track is great. The only thing that's bothering me is the snare, it's hurting my ears a bit

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *
@hudson: Thanks for the tip!

Hey everyone my name is Blake and I'm from London. I'm 20 years old and I started making music a little over a year ago, specifically dubstep. This is my first song I've bothered sharing with you guys and I think that it's time that I look for some more feedback from people other than friends and family. Cheers!

@fragments - ye, great atmosphere, but change the snare.
@Ducer - LOVE IT, until drop (0:28 or something). The drums are messy and disturbing...
@Blacklotus - yeeeh. Heavy. Feelin' it. The intro is mindblowing ! Big ups to South Africa !
My WIP, any feedback would be appreciated !

@ z6z very good sounds and gotta alot of feel to them , just try fill them with more stabs and some sick sound design

@fragments cool sounds , too much reverb on the snare , give it a shorter decay , more distortion and effects on the basslines , make them jump out at you

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *
@ducer that intro is deffinately trippy dude, lovin' the vocal sample. Not feeling the drop, as has been mentioned...just *too* many snares, yknow? messy mix and EQ imo aswell.
@z6z feelin the sickly midrange dude, maybe a better build up to get the listeners tension going? (although the track Im about to post doesnt have one haha, but Im hoping to throw some vox an shit in there aswell.)
@fragments- i dunno what to say that hasnt already- I think if you just EQed that snare a bit it could sound really good- just a bit too much hi end, I dont think you have to change the whole sample though. try pitching it down an octave or just fucking around with the sound. good deep vibes though man.
heres my WIP- was going through my tunes and discovered this that Id started and forgotten about. Really happy with how its coming along.

@ fragments: Nice tune, I really like the subtle wobbles sometimes, but the snare could be a bit snappier for my taste.
@ Ducer: Nice sounds in that track mate, but it sounds a little chaotic.
@ Blacklotus: Sick track!
@ z6z: The sound design was awesome, the track really got my head bouncing.
@ budsteq: awesome reggae vibes, nice to chill out. The sub was also great.
Here is my new track (don't really know if I'm done yet):

Re: WIPs/unfinished tunes for feedback * no finished tunes *
@budsteq: the intro on this one is a bit long for my taste, but that is as much personal preference as anything. You nailed "that reggae chord progression"...but I feel like it gets tiresome by the end of the track. Is there a way you could play with it more? That flute/woodwind instrument that comes in at 2:20 seems to sit on top of the mix a bit/doesn't gel w/ the track. Otherwise proper vibes here ;p
@BlackLotus: I'd be interested to see what you do with the rest of the track. Not a fan of that "barking" mid range sound myself. I'd try bringing back in that melodic element from the intro.
@z6z: That midrange job sounds really weak and underdeveloped in comparison to the rest of the track. Some nice atmospherics here, the track sounds full. But yea, that midrange needs filled out, beefed up etc. Also, not a fan of that vocal sample, but I'm a goofy movie samples hater, so ignore me in that regard.

@fragments
sounds nice and clean man i like the intro
, i would definitly change that snare thought, it sounds a bit too muddy for my likeing. im diggin the vibe tho, maybe make a little louder as well?
@hudson
awesome atmosphere
! the break down at 1:49 just totally did it
! that little scale you were playing was simple but just perfect for the feeling of the song! great job
@BlackLotus
you just kicked ass with that one...THAT IS ALL. p.s. you got a follower on soundcloud
well heres mine.

So I'm pretty new to dubstep and production in general, and these two tracks are the first I've made that sound even remotely half-decent. I'd appreciate a bit of feedback on improvements I could make and all that good stuff.

once again all the people with 1-25 posts, just think posting a song and no feedback is gonna get them somewhere. wrong.

@fragments - track has a good atmosphere, snare feels a bit too loud in the mix to me though
@hudson - i really like the vox in the track, and also that lead synth that comes in around 2:00 or so. im diggin the laid back vibe
@blacklotus - the intro sounds good but it sort of drones on repeating the same thing. also i think the first grimy wobb that comes in before the drop opens up too much of the filter. the drop sounds good, has a good rhythm with the wobbs and drums going on.
@z6z - the drum loop you have during the song totally makes this song. i think you should do some more modulation on the midrange synth in the first half something sorta like you did in the second half

@anotherday fresh tune man.. like the constant piano, keeps a nice flow.. vocals are sick... only thing i would try is deepening the bass slightly just to see what it sounds like.
@bRRRz synths are awesome. only thing i dont like is the long ambient breakdown part. if this was all heavy id chuck it on my playlist right now, but synths are amazing once again.
@z6z vocal sample is sweet haha. synth has a bit too much res or something imo. sounds like a didgeridoo at some points.
heres mine... only been on it for about 2 hours working in fl that i havnt used much before... but i just slapped a few things together no eqing or effects yet. pretty terrible structure aswell but i was just messing around... just wanna know what u think of what i actually do have here... ta
