Eptic/Helicopter Showdown Bass?

Post by Night Stalker » Wed May 04, 2011 9:13 pm

Hi everyone first thread here =)

Ive searched and theres no post related to this yet I know loads of people dont like the Brostep sound but. Basically just wondering if anyone knows how to get the Eptic / Helicopter Showdown Lead chorus style bass. I.e The Chorus Bass http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5FM7OnWOUjk Or http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xeo9o6NJ-wY
Im guessing its all mid range eqd wavetable analogs detuned up with plenty of resonance and Triangle wave. If anyone has any idea how to make them in a Reason synth or, Massive, albino or Sylenth that would be helpful.

Thanks :D

Not too difficult to acheive a similar sound in Massive. There are loads of tutorials that will get you really close.
Experiment with Saws, sines and Polysaws detuned, try having your oscillators on different octaves and RESAMPLE. Classic tube effect works well and experiment with parabolic shapers, sine shapers, and different types of filter.
