ok so i am a comp. dj but I DONT HAVE A SOUND CARD so i cant monitor the separates tracks. this is a big problem for transferring from track to track or beat matching.
and would this work:

you do have a sound card, but not a second (External) soundcard.

Oh an DM, you should change the title of this thread to "Which soundcard should I get?" And Im also pretty sure theres something about this in the production bible...

Before I got an RMX, I just used a regular usb external soundcard, but it was a little tricky to setup correctly. You would probably save yourself some headaches if you got a controller with a soundcard built-in, or that Numark thing... but if you are really hurting financially the external soundcard will work. You just have to set it up with ASIO4ALL.

Also, what DJ program you using? Traktor? If you need any more help feel free to PM me I can try and point you in the right direction

i remember he actually used to use that...then he decided that it sucks and dl'd a demo of numark cue...then he got FL Studio which came with Decadance demo

Yes, you need an external soundcard unless your buying one of the numark or hercules controllers that are external soundcards built in.

You can get some pretty cheap externals tho!
I was using a basic USB one that I got with my Midi Keyboard (M-audio Keystudio) I think it was meant for protools but after some messing around with the settings I got it to work rather nicely!
