GRAM Podcast Volume Fifthteen – Pedestrian: Volume 15 of the GRAM Podcast starts a new chapter of the agency as we are now taking bookings from promoters to cater for ‘Bass Music’. Along with Al Tourettes, Pedestrian is one of the first artists from this arm of the agency that we have signed up and is someone we are very excited about: we can assure you that this is one very talent artist: in the studio and behind the decks! For more info on Pedestrian and the mix, see below:

1) Tell us who Pedestrian is and what he is all about?

Hello, I go by the alias Pedestrian and I’m currently based in Cambridge, I produce electro-acoustic dance music and record most of my own samples. I grew up listening to Hip Hop and then got heavily involved with the Drum & Bass scene which eventually evolved into a passion for Dance music as a whole which lead me to where I am today. The typical styles you’ll hear me spin are a mix up of 2-step, House, Techno, Hip Hop and UK Bass music in general… My sets tend to vary a lot depending on venue and crowd.

2) Tell us about some of tracks used on the mix or say a little something about the mix.

The tracks I chose for the mix are a lot more club orientated than say that of my ‘Dance Music For Home Listening’ mix series. I decided to go with that tip to give an insight into some of the staple tracks from my DJ sets in the last few months, so you get a taste of what to expect from me at a club night.

3) Any special Pedestrian info people should know.

Special info? Well… I don’t know really! I grew up in Bahrain, does that count? Asides from that, I’ve got a few upcoming releases, firstly a vinyl and digital release of ‘Hei Poa’ on a new label called ‘Push & Run’ set up by Brownswood and Warner Records aficionados, the release will feature remixes by the likes of Jon Phonics and Frederic Robinson, more to be confirmed and should be out in June. Then a 12″ on 2nd Drop Records followed by the release of my debut EP ‘En Route’ which will also be released on Push & Run. There’s also more in the pipeline but some a little hush hush! Keep your ears open for those, hope you enjoy the mix.
