Help ! I cant get the events window to show automation

Hi,

I've just been following chewies' brilliant tut on quantising events, but I just cannot get the window to show anything much.

Can it be done by highlighting the automation lane and clicking window>Event List at the top of the window?

nothing much to screen grab to be honest.

its just makes a noise (as in the key command is incorrect); Just pressing E gets the event window up....

I'm on a hackintosh so i double checked I was pressing the correct keys using the system prefs>keyboard etc.

control, command and E >is the command - i just cant seem to get the fucker working even tho I have identified which key is which on my keyboard.

is there a way to click into the same window instead?

or if anybody can tell me how to set up a key command, I have already tried resetting them to default.
