Recommend dubstep artists similar to Scorn / Composite Human

Post by zardonic » Sat May 05, 2007 10:29 am

These two are definately my favorites from all I've heard. Most other artists are nice too but just not what I'd like to push. Composite Human is more breakstep, and I like that industrial feel of Scorn's music in general.

Already heard Vex'd, Burial, Distance, Macabre Unit from another recommendation thread around. They're nice, Distance was my fav from those, but while these are brilliant it's still not the sound I'm looking for.

Or are there no more artists with this approach?

I've heard Ekaros, his LP on Black Hoe is definately fuckin sick.

Thanks for the recommendation guys :) If any of you by any chance have the AIMs of these labels please PM them to me, I want to send some demos and see where can I get a release.

If you guys have the time check out the thread sayin ZARDONIC - Forever (128kbps), and let me know if you like it.

Big time. Energetic dubstep. Specially Claw and High Rankin, that's what I'm talking about.

Definately, really quailty collection of producers, they don't do just all dubstep tracks but they do it all dark and knarly. Most the non Dubstep tracks would mix well with DS. One of there artists (Blackmass Plastics recording as Thorn Industries) has a free EP on Virb. I'm listening to it now as I type and it's fucking sick. I don't know how he gave it away for free. Heres the link

Blackmass Plastics has a ton of industrial-flavoured stuff :) Look for tracks like Torture Sequence on Bleep.com, and his remix of FZV on Rag n Bone.

Milanese does some dubsteppy stuff like "Mr Good News" which is really heavy and digitally mangled.

Komonazmuk and White Boi make some insanely powerful stuff.

Zilla (King Cannibal) has some fierce beats coming out next year on Rag n Bone, and on Combat

Gotta mention Reso as well.

Scorn's Ohm Resistance album is proper heavy.. in fact it scared a few people into the next room at Corsica :D

* thanks for the combat bigups :)
the tunes aren't all dubstep but they are usually around 140 bpm which is the bpm we like to DJ at
COMBAT 021 : SCORN
"Gravel Bed" - OUT NOW
vinyl // digital // COMBAT HQ // mywace
Combat Recordings on Farcebook
