Had to log back in to make a final statement after I saw this one. I won't lie, it did make me giggle, but not because the analogy was comical, but rather because it proved to me the level of your close mindedness and your inability to distinguish one musical sound from another. If all you heard in that track was "YOYOYO", which made up only about 2% of the entire drop, then you have evolved just as much as the T-Rex in your analogy.

As for anyone who can't hear, for example, how dynamic Skrillex/the track I posted is, you guys need a reality check, because "wa-wa-wa-wa-wa-wa-wa-wa *pause* repeat the same note with slightly faster LFO *break with shitty drum fill* repeat the same note yet again with slower LFO" is not dynamic, not interesting, is extremely predictable, and frankly, shitty.

Man, there doesn't have to be a deeper meaning for why people don't like some music. You should check through my music folder on my computer. I got Sleep - Dopesmoker chilling just below Skream - Freeizm next to Snoop Dogg - Doggystyle chilling right above some Source Direct vinyl rips and a Speedy J album. Trust me, go a bit further, I've got the Saturday Night Fever album in there too. Close minded? I don't think so, I just don't like your track.

I never said you had to like it, but to say that it's "generic, predictable and boring" (which was said in this thread) is just silly in my opinion, hence my response above. Whether you like it or not has nothing to do with how open minded you are, that's just personal preference. I was simply addressing that comment by comparing the dynamics in a typical/oldschool dubstep track to the one I posted.

Again, if you don't like it, there's nothing wrong with that. I simply made a comparison, and that was that.

isn't halftime beats and oscillations old school typical dubstep? it's been made since 06, five years ago. those who are progressing imho are taking it somewhere else other than deep or wobbly. those are the two old schools of 06 imho

no, your track WAS generic, predictable AND boring. garethom is 3 for 3 on that. There's no need to rebut every bit of criticism that comes your way. Don't internalize it and lash out.. process it, and work to improve.
now,
dubsty wrote:"wa-wa-wa-wa-wa-wa-wa-wa *pause* repeat the same note with slightly faster LFO *break with shitty drum fill* repeat the same note yet again with slower LFO" is not dynamic, not interesting, is extremely predictable, and frankly, shitty.
I don't know WHAT the fuck dubstep YOU are listening to, but this is just wrong.

no, you really shouldn't. Besides the fact that these tunes you're linking to are simply much more well-produced than yours, they also carry an outstanding groove. Something your OP video was lacking. idc if you like pop-step, but fucking try harder at it then.

Did consider stuff like that Toasty track "predictable" at the time, or do you only consider it predictable now, almost 7 years later because a lot of people used that or a similar style afterwards?

That Toasty track is still huge to this day, the percussion is amazing.

Only now, since the present and the future is what I'm talking about.. Anyway, it doesn't really matter, just wanted to support my point, but feel free to disagree
