big night
Footsie and Fuda Guy dominated proceedings
some very big tunes, i forget what the Plastic People rig does to them
whats the name of that Benga/Coki tune, sort of 4x4 calypso kinda vibe, descending synth-line? so ridiculously big, pure vibes

John Eden reckoned it was really good (though a bit too much wobble and not enough grime for his taste) so it musta been bitching.

There was far too much aggressive skankin going on at the front - when gift touched mic i literally had to catch the mixer from falling off the booth.
A few people were getting too carried away - skanking is all good but one guy was literally jumping into people and shit - he was wearing a skeleton hoodie.
I'm sure he meant no harm but he was proper launching himself into people.
At this point all hell was breaking loose and Sarah needed to calm things down so asked the mc's to go on one at a time rather than all at the same time.

as soon as gift opened his mouth the place went into hysterics. it was an amazing thing to see. i wish there was a way of sustaining that energy without people getting barged or whatever. cos seeing skepta holding a mic for over half an hour after that, and do no more than host, is a tragic waste of talent.
