Post by DETUN3R » Wed May 25, 2011 10:41 pm

get you some quality samples for free. and go from there.

Fuck primeloops and any other company that charges for samples and labels them into genres. they are marketed to those looking for a quick fix and thats all youll ever find. Dig around for free stuff, computer music mag is excellent for example
my drums are usually new with every batch of tunes and i make my own drum hits by layering them. its just about finding the right ones to layer... experimentation and triall and error is the best way.

I found decent samples in the vengeance packs, only in the 'perc' section though. They're pretty good claps, clicks and snares, but EVERYTHING else in those sample packs are SHIT.
Do you say zerbaman? Or do you say zebraman?

My english teacher gave me a weird look when I mentioned that as the musical instrument I played. Like the wtf stare. I had to give her the 'wiki wiki' dj motion to confirm what i meant.

It just shows that Dubstep sample packs ain't good... Thats the only ive found worth buying if money wasn't a huge issue.

I'll forever tell people to get Hit Kit V3 and you'll never buy a sample pack again.

The beauty of the genre is that you can use any type of samples. just play with your envelopes to make em snappy punchers of death.
