My guess is that as you are playing the signal in to the computer (to record it) you are playing it out of the computer and back in again... and out and then in and then out and it builds up = feedback. Get me? Try muting the channel/track you are recording with.

Its been a while since i used cubase. That's about as helpful as i can be. See how you get on

Oh yeah keep your speakers volume very low unless you like really loud screaming feedback noises - basically be careful with that shit

(to the pub!)

Thanks jahtao-muting the channel, may actually work,I should have thought of that.To be honest,I found that it creates a sort of comb filtered sound, which I recorded-its a bit wild tho,and me soundcard is probably buggered to hell, but thats entertainment.

Thanks mate,for your help :D

i think that comb filter sound is probably the recording going in and out of phase

Thanks guys-yep pushing that little yellow button ,did the trick-I appreciate all the advice.
Now can someone tell me,who exactly is burial,at the time of the release of the debut from him ,a few people told me it was Kode9 in alter ego mode, but nah ,it aint him. What i dont get is why this guy aint out there capitalising on his,new found fame, love to hear how THAT release translates live,I heard an oldish kode9 set, which clearly uses the rhythm track from a tune on the Burial disc ,but it is clear ,without the fuzz and phase and stuff, which is all over the Burial release.
I don't know -we all know what Kode9 and spaceape look like, for some time, but they still in disguise for publicity shots ,etc-any suggestions out there?
