Hip Hop -> Drum & Bass -> Dub, Funk, Downtempo, Breaks -> Dubstep, Grime.
Can't say for any of those genres though, other than hip hop, that I was really part of a scene or followed things too closely.

nice poll, good to see some figures!

i think a hell of a lot of people are coming from drumz as its dying a very slow and painful death.....listened to grooveriders show on saturday and it was jus awful.....such a shame

dubstep is the new drum and bass, tuff beats and big basslines, think of The One by mampi or warhead by krust even wales by twisted ... jus like dubstep riddems

and yea i was a jungle/drumz head before!

my 1st love affair with a scene was old skool garage tho,

and even though im too young to of been around for hardcore rave days it has a special place in my heart, i think acid house, hardcore, jungle- techno, that whole era from 87-1994 was jus amazing for music.

Jungle/DNB -> Garage -> Grime -> Dubstep
I still listen to a lot of Grime. I wish there was more coming from the Garage scene though. :(

Industrial (The real stuff, not fucking NIN or any shit with guitars), Dark Techno and Acid Techno. Some Punk and Goth. Dub and Ska since before I could walk.

And I'm still active in these genres and a lot of other stuff besides. No reason giving something up when something new comes along... Listen to it all, learn from it all and enjoy it all.

god i hope not. you're probably right though. :cry:

the reason i feel this sound so much is because it draws from elements of all the other genres i've loved in the past...dub, techno, electro.

I'm not a scenester in that I don't belong to one particular scene. Open to most music so I ave no polling options.
Dammit its just like when I went to vote :(
