i was looking for a solution like that a few months back...
the closest ive ever gotten to what i was looking for was by using the input in albino ...
it allows u to use audio input signal and pass it thru albino.. so i went around creating patches that i sent to albino thru sidechain... and i used the filters on albino (dont forget to create a random midi note for albino to actually start playing)..
albino has the easiest automation out of the ''regular wobble synths'' (yes i said it)...
however what actually got me better at it is to stop looking for a perfect tool and learn each...and thats what ims till doing...

Re: Help with logic autofilter/ au filter reccomendations
experiment, but it doesnt have a stereo input from what i recall...
papen should really try to implement a stereo input...
or maybe... is there a way to feed ONE plugin with TWO sidechained signals???? (one left one right and mix them thru stacks, cause u know that albino actually has 16 oscillators... )
Omg dude u got me back into overthinking... i was down to use whatever i had... i hate u. now im back on the workflow hunt...
