my friend wrote a drum and piano program for it. It's called Kinect by the way. and his program is still in Alpha...

midi theremin, huh.

what would be cool is if something was set up so when people were dancing - each step or harsh/jerky movement made by the dancer will be seen by the theremin/kinect and will trigger the next note in an arpeggio.

There was an old CM issue where this discussed turning a Wii controller into a wireless MIDI interface, will try and source the PDF.

I use the Drum set from Guitar Hero to trigger midi with Reatrigger.
Fun Fun

reatrigger and kinect also works.

this. anything people are going to do with this version of kinect is basically just going to sit in the "interesting", as opposed to useful, category. microsoft had to scale down the kinect tech for release to the market so they could keep the cost low.
