production from the early years

Post by efence » Sat Jun 04, 2011 11:31 pm

thought it be funny for those who have been making music for some time to post some of there first recordings. lets see who has the balls to post some not so great songs? Also thought might help anyone thats just starting to see everyone has too start some where.

so the song i uploaded are not my first recordings by far but the are some of my earliest stuff i have access too at the moment. i no longer have a 4 track to get to the stuff from year one. every thing i uploaded was made on an mc303 old yamaha sampler and efx units and recorded on minidisc. they were probaly recorded around 1997 but i cant remember. The songs were also the best of the songs i have from that time period.

edit just one song(ran out of room on SC)

Here are my first two tunes. They're also my only two tunes because I've been producing for about 2 months

Think that second one sounds the most fresh/least dated.

I'd really like to participate in this. Was hoping to transfer some more field recordings (from the last millennia, omg how did people live back then?) maybe can find some sound episodes on minidisk. Would really like to post something here... maybe something from cassette. :corndance:

Fuckin Quack.

Basically I used to make clipped-to-hell filth-step in 08 before clipped-to-hell-filth-step was 'the norm'...

cool idea for a topic, my friend recently found a zipfile of a bunch of my old "music" from the 90's, most of which was made on cooledit, soundforge, audiomulch, rebirth, and even some hammerhead & fruityloops 1 demo. This is the earliest one I remember making. I used to get so pissed waiting for the dial-up modem to connect, listening to that neverending screeching over and over became melodious eventually and I sampled it and got my agressions out.

2 things: I recently dug out an old pc, found an audiomulch render directory, filled with sounds just like that ^. Should be called audio entropy. hehe. Dude, wife just walked in and asked if this was me playing. hehe2x.

I got a dog many years ago. Raised him from a pup. Homie was ALWAYS with me, real tight bond. I had to travel for a project and was gone a month. Dog was depressed moping around. A friend came over to my place to use my internet connection. When he dialed up, my dog jumped up and ran to my studio. Dog had so associated me with the dial-up sound that he thought it was me.
