It's a supersaw. Basically its a few saw waves detuned against each other, and one an octave up. I have put together a patch for you. Now it doesn't sound exactly like it but I feel like I've come pretty close. Keep in mind that one of the reasons this sounds so interesting is because there are a bunch of different parts going on at once that add to the harmony, so the patch alone that I made will not sound nearly as cool. Anyhow, I made this in massive in fl studio. I used 3 detuned saw waves. one an octave up, and one at minus 20 cents, and the 3rd at minus 40 cents. I Then used Massive's voice section to add more voices and detuned them against each other so that the sound gets bigger. I sent it through a low pass filter with high resonance, added some reverb to it, used an exciter (camel space) to add some higher harmonics, through on some light distortion, and then EQ'd it (I cut out a bit at 1300 hz with a narrow Q and boosted it a bit around 6500 hz with a wider Q).
Hope this fits the bill.
sick deal bruv! big thanks my man! yea I figured they were detuned saws with eachother. and I thought he resampled it a bit to make it sound so unique. thanks for going through all the trouble though
Elysium EP (coming soon) Cosmic Cloud & The Hate Machine - Ascenion (Teaser) Soundcloud
I've been trying for awhile to recreate this sound, but I can't really get anywhere close.
I want to make that typical electro-house bassline that Feed Me uses in a lot of his tunes.
Anyone know how to get the bass sound like 44 seconds onward in this Datsik tune? The subs sound like a drill almost(prior to the jackhammer coming in, of course). I want to get that "shaking" feeling.
i was wondering how to make some of this sounds in this song (as i am planning to do a remix of it, coz i've got most of the samples used) any of the bass sounds will be fine, thank you,
hi
i really want the first and second bass that vaski uses on his new track storm chaser. Sounds like modern talking or similar. (massive preferred)
please help cheers
Modern talking on the first OSC.
Assign the lfo to the Wavetable position, and find the range you like for the wavetable to oscillate in.
set the lfo rate.
open up cmt bitcrusher in a mixer channel and i think what you do from here is rather straight forward.
I was wondering how to create the main bass sound in Doctor P's - Watch out? It has kinda a shrill lead sound mixed with a heavy sub. Any suggestions? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=47s2yRZX73s
immediate hateful responses aside, I like this noise too and thought I would help you out.
considering I hear Massives Crude osc in doctor P's tunes I assume he used NI massive for that noise.
after a lil fiddling around with massive I figured that you can get a similar noise by turning the using the phase modulation 56 semitones up. hit the low G note and adjust phase mod amount and try all different oscilators (there are all different but similar sounds possible with this method by using different wavetables)
for the sub part put osc 2 to square wave and turn the intensity down to get a very fat sub. on my recreation its pointing just a hair under 9:00
once i get the sound just so I will post a patch but part of the fun is trying your very hardest to recreate it yourself, you will learn a lot about your synth this way

Awesome, I used the crude osc for the lead and square-saw 1 for the sub, fiddled with the phase mod, then added a sine shaper (50% dry/wet - 50% drive) and a Dimension Expander (%50 dry/wet - 30% size). Finally some eq to clean it up. I couldn't get the exact sound, but it sounds close enough! Many thanks.
high pitched sound use the fm nobs they add a lot of 'high pitched filth' also try putting the oscillators quite high and also there is a lower sawtooth bass underneath which is replicating the sound and all the LFO's, probably fairly simple.
Hey guys, not sure if i was to post this into other music or production, but in evil needle's track "fuse" he uses a really nice pad and was wondering how to create a similar sound to it. im not asking for presets, but any vsts or videos would be great
exactly what the title says really, ive managed to get close with hints of my own processing method but no where near as his. i may post some up attempts later
