Big!!

Not the Burial set tho. Look Kode 9 wont let this surface till the album is sorted or very near release, shame as im staying in and having a big spliff tonite. Would be such a sick blazing thing.

Not even 10 minutes Bloodstream?

Track ID: 2011-05-28 - Darkstar -Live- (Hyperdub, Warp Records) @ Jägermeister Vice Stage, Primavera Sound Festival 2011 - Barcelona - V.I.P. HQ Recordings INT

Soundcloud

Leaders in what the press have christened as post-dub, James Young and Aiden Whalley have won a place of honour at the label Kode 9 thanks to “North”, record that blows the conventions of this type of music to smithereens and what they propose forgets convincing basses going instead for warm miniscule electronic sounds, fragile atmospheres and melodies that are one step away from pop. Closer to the experimental Radiohead than the boss of their label, Darkstar seem to have found the perfect balance between experimental electronic and pop music. Here we have them with a live set at Primavera Sound Festival 2011, recorded from 01:30h - 02:15h ..... Bombed out in space with a spaced out bomb! .....

Oh my fucking god that track at 3:30 again :w:

I am conflicted about hearing the full set:

Of course, I want to really badly but I can understand why K9 would want to make it special for those who attended.

On the other hand, how many folk will actually travel very far for 30 minutes of music, y'know?

This is an internet age, but I respect K9's defense of Burial.

That vocal though :U: :corncry:

The Club to Club material was beautiful, I hope it comes out.
MofoHobo played it supporting DMZ in Dublin about 5 weeks ago and it went off

I'll be eternally thankful for having heard it at the dance
:D

Glad you enjoyed it as much as we did.

More nights like that coming soon.

IMO there will be more festival appearances due to the more upbeat nature of the album and the album will drop late summer early winter.

It all makes sense now :x :w: ;-) ;-)

Kind of hate you right now.

I wish things like this weren't shrouded in such secrecy, like Burial is undoubtedly a big name in electronic music I think it's safe to say.

Ugh whatever just let us listen Bloodstream :corntard:

Yeah, then immediately after the 2nd Kode9 set, had to go and see DJ Shadow. Was a bad couple of days tbh 8)
