Re: Game of Thrones (HBO)
It's good but very different.
If you like GoT you should check out Joe Abercrombie's stuff. It's like GoT in that it is epic fantasy but not with too much daft shit like time traveling dragons.

Re: Game of Thrones (HBO)
well done
what is of value and wisdom for one man seems nonsense to another.
Re: Game of Thrones (HBO)
yeh man its got great production value, acting is good aswell, and the story... well.. writes itself!!cityzen wrote:Is Rome good then? I slept on it.
standard HBO
realism + complex characters + attempts at recreating The Soprano's in different era's = *insert new HBO programme*
the formula is flawless
Re: Game of Thrones (HBO)
there's only going to be 4 books, the fourth one should be out soon!skitz_0 wrote:started reading the books after the first episode. half way through the third one now. things get so intense, i hope hbo keeps it up and does all seven.

Re: Game of Thrones (HBO)
Series has been proper mint so far. Got to about Ep 4 before I had to give in and start reading the books, coming up on the end of the second now....just too much. Easily the best thing I've seen on TV thus far in 2011, and don't remember much if anything better in 2010.
Don't wanna say too much and ruin it for people, how about a thread for spoilers?

Re: Game of Thrones (HBO)
I can understand the reaction! I was gutted, had to look away from the screen!
I did think it was an odd coincidence that he gets glassed outside of a bar defending the honour of a "lady" on the very same night he gets killed off in the series.

Everyone seems to be on that "exit through the gift shop" hustle nowadays.
