Help Needed!!!!

I am 17 years old, i have followed drum & bass and especially dubstep for a fair few years now, i have a very good knowledge into the music and a massive massive passion towards it.

i want to turn music into more of a hobby and bring it more into my life and am extremely interested in creating music, however i do have a very limited knowledge into creating it what is the best software and equipment to use, as well as where can i learn all i need to know about creating music? its one of the only things that i can reach into

i know its a complete noob question but ive never done anything like this before so help would be appreciated!!
