I recently discovered Dario Argento - granddaddy of b movie horror, massive influence on John Carpenter et al and even produced Oscar Romero's Dawn of the Dead.

Come to the thread in an inspiration to find films to watch and so far meh.

I want to see that Hanna but resent paying £10 to get into the pictures, plus another £10 on petrol and the obligatorily munch. I'll wait for it to come on Lovefilm.com

Fucking meh.

I enjoyed it but was expecting it to be better. The story and the arc of it reminded me of something the BBC or Channel 4 would produce as a one off doc only far glossier with a bigger budget.

This was mentioned on a Joe Rogan podcast so checked it out and thought it was excellent

Not much of a narrative but watchable scene after watchable scene. Quite disturbing at times too

It's all about the atmosphere for me, love most of his movies except Deep Red and Inferno.

Fair play, Argento is obviously not to everyone's tastes. In many ways his movies are objectively 'bad'.
