My online machine is running Ubuntu and I keep my Windows machines constantly offline.
No antivirus (or virus) here

but for my caveman computer i use avast, but the easiest thing is to not download viruses to begin with. You have to be pretty stupid to willingly download viruses and malware.

No problems since using Avast, free and updates itself.

Also didnt see ZoneAlarm on here, alerts you anytime a program wants to access the net, (may be more a hindurance then useful but nice to know that cracked game you have isnt talking to the net anymore

)
