I posted this in Tune of the Day the other day, always preferred this electronic rendition to the any orchestral one.

only found this girl yesterday after a TED performance was posted on facebook.
quite nice.
will back-track on all the classical i've had lost on hard-drives over time.
never used to fully appreciate the difference listening to music/sounds with such a full range of harmonies and frequencies.
anyone clued up on some more 'modern' classical that sits a bit more on the avant-garde side? hypnotic stuff but with direction.

Fair enough, I know the synthetic sounds used aren't as rich and as you observed, as powerful as traditional instrumentation however it's the "simplicity" of the sounds that I adore.
Some more modern stuff, this piece takes inspiration from it's
namesake .

Hook me up, I'd like to hear what you've done with it. I know an insanely heavy Grime track that uses this too.

http://soundcloud.com/deathtrap/polis
violins at about 4 minutes are from are from the 2:12 ones in vid
also the rhythm/ notes played at 2:35 are a really good basis for startting a melody i find
horn at 1:35 i use for my grime tunes (which are poor so i dont share them lol)- with processing its really heavy
link to grime tune that samples it?

There's some damn good recommendations in this thread!
Very nice! I'm gonna need to give all of these a longer listen when I get back from work!

Nicely done, love the kick pattern.
I PM'd you a link to that vid. Bit too heavy for this thread!
