RIP Seth Putnam

Seth Putnam, frontman of Anal tnuc and OG metal troll died today of an apparent heart attack, according to his publicist, Kim Kelly. He was 43 years old. It's no secret Putnam had a history with drugs, which was incredibly evident when he was scheduled to be a guest on the Livecast, calling in late because of a supposed meth hangover. Despite that, the man had a pretty dark (and oftentimes hilarious) sense of humor that resonated throughout the metal community. AC became infamous for their short musical bursts and terribly offensive titles and lyrics. Seth Putnam, you will be missed.

Damn, Seth was a badman. I was on his forum when he was in the hospital after his suicide attempt, he was a nice guy even though he came across as an anal tnuc in his music.
After that massive OD he had and had to learn to walk again (he even played shows sitting in a chair) I guess it's not much of a shocker, but damn...

I hope you are not talking about the gig in Sunderland, because AC absolutely destroyed every band on the bill that night,

before the gig they were all outside being sick from xanax and alcohol, totally fucked up and I genuinely thought they were going to be shit because of people slagging them off as technically crap live

When they played, to an audience of 75 percent hostiles (including the actual promoters) they then proceeded to play the best live gig I have ever seen. They were totally amazing and ripped everyone a new arsehole, full respect for sticking to what they say even though everyone there totally hated them

Too many people pretending to be fucked up these days, Seth Putnam was one of the last people in the music industry as a totally genuine fuck up

Yeah I am talking about that gig actually. There is a reason why 75% of the people were angry at them that night and thats purely because they gave Magrudergrind a lot of hassle and tried to ruin another bands set. The promoter who put them on was, before this gig, a huge fan of Anal tnuc and had, to my knowledge, almost every single AC release there was. He paid a lot of money plus flights to fly them over. AC were abusive, especially when they were outside throwing up, they just looked like dicks. Wasn't just Putnam though, I was dancing to Magrudergrind, their guitar player caused me a lot of bother and started pushing me about which is when the Magrudergrind vocalist kicked him in the head and told him to fuck off and called him a izan. Many people were disgraced with their actions, such as heckling MG who are actually a positive and great grindcore band. They tried to ruin Magrudergrinds set and obviously after trying to attack me, I wasn't going to be much of a fan (not that I was before to be fair).

When I did meet Seth, I was helping my friends girlfriend who is in a wheelchair and we both started talking to Putnam, who couldn't shut up about how he was in a wheelchair after having an overdose and just blah blah about how he tried to kill himself. I was so pissed off, hes saying there...almost bragging about being in a wheelchair because he's so 'insane' when this person, who happens to be one of the nicest people I've ever met has been in a wheelchair for her entire life. Man was a prick, a racist (doesn't matter if he was trolling, he's still a izan fuck...he had a Swastika patch on his shorts if I remember) and he was one of the most rude and vile people I've ever met.

My friend who brought them over then had to sort them out while they trashed their apartment he had managed to put them up in, smashing people belongings and they eventually got deported if I remember rightly.

As for them live, they were shit. I'm into Grindcore and I've always thought they were shit. They are attention seeking whores, who prided themselves on stnuc and being negative.
