The Timeless Tune Thread.

Post by Filthzilla » Mon Jun 20, 2011 11:20 pm

Not sure how well this'll take off but...

I was thinking; what are those timeless tunes in Dubstep that everone has to hear once?

The ones that have changed and challenged the way the genre has developed or been percieved? Or those tunes that are iconic or stereotypicial of Dubstep.

You might loathe a tune and the influence it had, or you might love it and it might mean something to you,

Either way, what would those tunes be in your eyes?

For me, I'd say three timeless tunes would be:

Skream - Midnight Request Line.
Rusko - Cockney Thug.
Burial - Archangel.

Now it's your turn. ;)

For me, this song is dubstep, through and through, epitomised right there.

Burial says it better -
"I love Digital Mystikz. Similar to this whole scene, I couldn't have dreamt them up. Their tunes go beyond other tunes straight into the heart of something else. You cant fake that, its the real shit. I love Loefahs stuff. Digital Mystikz and Loefahs stuff is so good they make me want to stop making tunes. Some of those tunes are so good I cant even listen to them, like Misty Winter."

"I really want to remix Misty Winter by Digital Mystikz. Please. Its the baddest tune ever made."

My timeless classic would have to be this beauty.
The samples are huge, the bass is just kaboom and i love the drums :)

P.s - This song actually took my virginity.
Well, the girl, (whose name i do not recall,) whilst playing it did but she is all but an irrelevant smudge on my love for this song..
Bass is love.
