Running an audio signal through hardware...(Logic)

...and back into your DAW.

So basically, I have some guitar gear(some pedals and a Line 6 Pod XT) I want to mess around with but I have no idea how to go on about making it go through the effects and back in the computer. Say I want to run a bass line through the Pod XT and then back into Logic, how I would I go through that whole process? I also have a little Behringer Eurorack mx 802A.

Any help would be appreciated!

just assign its' channel's output to one of your i/o interface's outputs... lead that output into the pod, and back out into an i/o input. enable monitor/record for that input...
You may require a re-amping box, which is just a gain stage/boost, far as i know. I've managed some cool results with this shit, n i don't have one.

Thanks for your answer, mate! I believe I get it(though I'm the opposite of technical), I just need to put the output cable in the speaker/headphone jack, right? I need some more cables for this then, though. Seems hard to hear what I'm doing when I'm messing around with the pod if that means I'm only hearing it through the Imac's built-in speakers.

You also need a re-amp box to attenuate the line level signal coming from logic to the pedals (which are expecting instrument level signal), you will have noise problems without one.

A re-amp does the opposite of gain stage/boost. You don't need one, but it will sound better if youmhave one.

but to the OP,if the pod XT is anything liek a regular POD, it should have a "DI" output as well as a "speaker" output... the DI would be just for the amp modeling, while the "speaker" output is post-FX (i think this is correct ).... so if you use the FX chain use that output.
