I really hope so, if he goes to arsenal he'll just be on the bench all the time. whereas if he stays with us he has the oppurtunity to play every week infront of fans that love him!joehaynes1990 wrote:was all that arsenal chat just a rumour then?PinUp wrote:As long as we don't sell Odemwingie i will be happy, i wouldn't be suprised if he went to a bigger club though

We need to sell our deadwood and liabilities like Carrick, Evans, Anderson.... stop buying young and unproven players like Phil Jones (I hope to christ he wasn't playing when we scored 8 against them) and buy some proven star talent- you really can't win anything with kids now. That was a one off, money talks now.
True about Jones though, I don't like the fact that Ferguson splashed 16.5mill on a young defender who has only played one proper season and has yet still to prove himself.
Let's be honest, United were LUCKY to win the title last year. They played below par all season, and it was only City and Chelsea fluffing their chances that meant they won it in the end.
Actually feel sorry for City; their best chance in absolutely ages, and tbh they probably won't have another United stumble to take advantage of. Wasted opportunity.
Re: The SNH Football thread
United weren't lucky, they dominated the first half of the season, just had a winnnig mentality seemingly and iirc it wasn't until Wolves we actually got beat (I thought we'd go all season unbeaten) then Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal beat us in pretty quick succession but for the squad we had... we did really well to win the league. It needs overhauled yeah but it was all about the spirit and the mentality which meant we grinded out results. I can't recall City ever being top and Chelsea not for long, we led the league for large parts of the season.wub wrote:jaydot wrote:And Obertan, O'Shea, Kuszack, etc etc etcDuffman wrote:And Gibson, Brown and Bebe.....United do have a lot of shite players tbf.jaydot wrote:lol.joehaynes1990 wrote:as a norwich fan im buzzing for this season! hoping we do a blackpool and surprise a few people (but then stay up, unlike them)

i dont think the prem will be boring next year. man c, man u and chelsea will all have a good shout. arsenal and liverpool have their new big money owners that expect to see results and will no doubt spend a bit of cash. villa might surprise a few people and everton are doing very nicely. not to mention harry and the spurs boys. to say that we've got at least 5 top, european sides and another 3 with the potential to be up there.
you can keep your spanish and italian leagues, the prem's the one. TOOO much quality!!
Re: The SNH Football thread
Not to mention Norwich, QPR and Swansea.

to be fair, the bottom half of the table doesnt really get interesting till the end of the season, imo.
unless one of the newly promoted teams comes out the blocks fighting like blackpool.
be good to see what the promised statue of deliah will look like. hopefully its better then the crazy jacko one at fulham.
Re: The SNH Football thread
yeah ok i admit it the only reason i find the prem boring is cos my team isnt in it

Or in Stoke's case, launching it into the area via Rory Delap.hutyluty wrote:city'll win it next year and the premiership'll be boring as usual![]()

I don't follow a specific team in the PL, but I do like to check out the newcomers

Re: The SNH Football thread
good to see ashley young moving on to a top club, just a shame its united. would have been good to see him at liverpool! hopefully he'll improve and pull england along a bit.
also hope that the rumours of forlan moving to tottenham are true (i know i said i dont follow the rumour mill), would be amazing to see him blasting some in! exactly what spurs need too, proper potent, dangerous striker!

How would City winning the PL be boring? They have never won it. Anyone who says the PL is boring did not pay attention this year. Huge dramas going on all over the place.hutyluty wrote:city'll win it next year and the premiership'll be boring as usual![]()

Glad to see ashley young go to man u. Seems like a nice fit although I still think their central mid needs sorting out as a priority.
My team (leeds) seem to be doing a newcastle and letting all their best players go with crap ones coming in i.e. Schemicheal for Rachubka. We are screwed if gradel goes

How do you reckon Bradley Johnson will do for us (norwich) in the prem?icanicant wrote:How would City winning the PL be boring? They have never won it. Fairly underwhelmed by his signing...always struck me as a fairly average championship midfielder.
Re: The SNH Football thread
He is not a prem player by any standards mate. Good championship squad player I would say. just annoyed we didnt get any money for him.joehaynes1990 wrote:How do you reckon Bradley Johnson will do for us (norwich) in the prem?icanicant wrote:How would City winning the PL be boring? By the sounds of it, you're raping us out of £5-8m for snodgrass so making your money back there.!icanicant wrote:He is not a prem player by any standards mate. Re: The SNH Football thread
hey, hey look.......look.......a Man Utd fan from Manchester.
Re: The SNH Football thread
Yeah Young should be good, but we still need a decent attacking midfielder who can create stuff and someone to hold and compete with and possibly push out, Fletcher. Carrick, decent for Everton or Spurs probably, not United standard though.
Re: The SNH Football thread
Nah Fletcher has shown promise, Carrick not so much. Park Ji Sung is one of the best on his day, but bizarrely Fergie only employs him as an impact player. Looking forward to seeing Young work with Hernandez and hoping De Gea fulfills his potential for us and fills the gaping, gaping hole that will be left by Van Der Sar.jaydot wrote:Yeah Young should be good, but we still need a decent attacking midfielder who can create stuff and someone to hold and compete with and possibly push out, Fletcher.
