Mornings - Lectric (Feedback)

Post by Lectric » Sun Jun 26, 2011 1:21 am

First completed track yaaaay!
I posted a wip of it a few days ago but that thread is useless as the soundcloud links dont work.

This song is more on the Medi side of dubstep , roots stuff like benga and such. So i dont want to hear "its not filthy enough" because thats all my friends have been saying

Soundcloud

im actually really proud of this track, i think i know where ill be heading with my sound.

tell me what you guys think!

the drum programming is my favorite part. im a big fan of that shuffle feeling.

IMO i think you should have some more bass sounds programmed in there. the whole "call and answer" thing works really good. just for variety. the bass isnt bass by any means. btw is that Albino? with some spect oscillators? O_o just trying to see if my ear is right.

it does remind me of old school dubstep too.

I was thinking of adding different bass patches but i really just wanted to do a clean, easy listening yet groovy track thats not too complicated. ive noticed that the beauty that lies in tracks by benga skream mala etc is that they leave much to the imagination and are comfortably simple, if that makes any sense

I like the drums, the bass don't really stand out though. I kind of feel like that's the point - but there's so much of "that kind-of dubstep" going on nowadays. Try going a bit more unique! :) On the other hand - it's a nice track!

Just listening to Immortal Technique, JMT and Snowgoons makes you cool.
Hating Skrillex makes you awfully cool. No... one... must... make... music... the... mass... likes...
