No wonder . . .

Post by GRAYSKALE » Tue Jun 28, 2011 7:50 am

No wonder so many people pirate music, beatport are asking £1.50 for a shit quality mp3!!

Being ethical is gonna bankrupt me man!

Nobody buys music cause it's too expensive, musics so expensive because nobody buys it! lol.
Double edged sword I guess.

it really depends on what your buying i guess

but i would suggest next time you decide to make a purchase from beatport, go check atleast boomkat or juno, and i bet you will find the same relases atleast .50c cheaper.

but like i said, its subjective to what your listening to...

I'm on it . . . beatport always tended to have pretty good exclusive stuff so I think i just got sucked into staying there out of habit. Will defo check out those shops though.

you can argue the prices, but i've never had a problem with the quality of mp3s they sell. they've all been great in my experience.

Haha. misunderstanding here bro, I didn't mean they were bad quality mp3's, I meant that mp3's are shitty quality in general, I'd understand the price if I was paying for wav, which is a much better standard of audio quality.

Yeah man, I've literally had a couple of times downloading E.P's where I've missed actually downloading the song because of they're crappy system!

Went on Juno today and the prices were way cheaper!! Wish I'd known about it sooner!! I'd probably have saved literally £100's!!

woah woah woah woah, whoah. Hold up. Does Boomkat ship vinyls?? :o I shop at beatport and the first time i went i was under impression that they did this, but i was wrong and i bought a DJ controller vs the Vinyl turntables. Around here i would have to drive about an hour to go to the nearest record shop that sells electronic music vinyls.

Edit:They do! Might be pricey for oversea shipping though :?

You can Re-download the files in the beatport downloader? I've had to do this a few times.

yeah im in england so it aint that bad, but i dunno how they hold up to the others for overseas shipping, i dont really take notice of the shipping price anyway, there might be cheaper, but i just prefer boomkat.

digital-tunes.net is the only mp3 shop i buy from. i would never buy from beatport or juno because they charge extra for WAV files (digital-tunes does not). the term "WAV handling fee" makes me cringe.
