shut up your a waste man most of your posts are garbage. say something constructive for once or leave the forum. we don't need people like you ruining it for others. even though that has been said plenty of times wub is actually taking things more appropriately and is helping out the dsf community a lot. 8)

lol, you really are too serious dude

thanks for the comments though
just by the way, my garbage comments actually aren`t garbage.
I give advise based on my experience.
We all have different experiences with different setups.

I for one have never said you post garbage.
If you think my comments are negative, then re-read your post.
But please get an understanding of sarcasm.
It might not be pretty but it`s not intended to give you a sandy vag either.

Take a breath.

i have been completely calm. i meant most not all (if you can read english correctly) are garbage meaning you do not help anyone most of the time. you just make jokes and whatnot. I am not always serious but I am most of the time. this is a place for spreading techniques, information that users have learned/experienced just like what you have said and i never said your comments are negative why are you trying to put words in my mouth? anyways if you are saying you give advise based on experience then continue to do so but don't mess about for too long. sandy vag? wow, how immature of you. I mean this post in complete respect but I am not sure if you respect me back but I don't care, i will always have respect for people, always be humble. Love thy neighbor like thy self that was a quote from myself.

I don`t need to get into any conversation regarding maturity with you.

If you don`t find my help useful, fine.
Wub has spoken to me regarding posting without helping and I will take all input he wants to direct my way.
I don`t however think you reiterating his point is necessary.

Please don`t tell me most of my posts are garbage, that is a personal attack that was totally unwarranted.

if it was unwarranted then you have my apologies. I just wanted to sort of reinforce what wub was talking about and include my input since I was regarding a few other things users have been doing that is unnecessary. I never said I find your help completely useless, I think you are a pretty intelligent man and I know you have helped out the community and have done your part for the forum but as of lately I haven't seen anything helpful but also that is generally with a lot of users you just happened to be the one I am picking at there are plenty of others but I don't want to be pointing fingers, wub is the one to be controlling this place and he has been doing a good job at it just I am here to help out as well. sorry if what I have said really hurt your feelings didn't intend for that to happen.

Can you make Dubstep on an Atari?, I know you can make Jungle and ol'skool DnB but what about Dub? does it have filth potential?

Yay, first post.

I don't think he's on here anymore but I know some producers around where I live who have been using the vacuum plugin on pro-tools 8 & 9 that aren't half bad.
Actually very good sounds have been coming out of it. I've used it a couple times and it works pretty well, the MIDI capabilities of pro tools 8 are rubbish though.

Hey every bodies,

I produce in pro tools 8. I wanted to open up a discussion of general production techniques in pro tools.
First I need to find somebody to talk with it about.

Also, if all you guys wanna bash me, or pro tools, or avid. We can do that here to. I would love to hear your arguments.

For you pro toolers, I have been having good results with the vacuum synth, albino 3, and the 'air' plugins.
My go to lfo seems to be the fuzz/wah effect.

And idk, but I find the midi interface to be just fine. It's all about getting to know the tools in your tool belt.

Also, the boom drum machine is sweet, I have been siding with that over my Mpc for a while now.

Would love any feedback, pro tool user or not.
Peace.

I usually write in Reason but we use Pro Tools in college so the couple of college projects I've had to do this year had to be done purely in Pro Tools. when I make tunes in Pro Tools everything is 100% audio. I do my synth work in Reason or on my alesis micron and just import the results as wav files.

tbh haven't really experimented much with the vacuum synth.

That is one way for sure. I, on the other hand use many of the plug ins in pt8. I like the vacuum and the xpand2 module.
The air fuzz wah and gate and phaser are some go to's for my processing. Also I crush with the lo-fi and might use the sci-fi ring modulater as well. Other than the digi factory plugs I run albino 3. But that's it.
P.s. ALBINO IS BOSS!

What are some reasons that people nowadays are moving over to ableton / logic / reason for producing / songwriting over protools? I'm curious because a bunch of my buddies run a studio geared toward hip hop production and they insist on spending all the extra money to have a whole pro tools console and I don't see any advantages really over ableton / logic except for maybe audio / hardware analog routing and recording. I don't see why so many hip hop studios insist on running protools - other than it is "tradition" and it was the industry standard years ago. Is that the only reason? And the hardware console interfacing capabilities?

I'm decently proficient in Pro Tools, but I only use it for my mixdowns and when I'm recording vocals/random samples. Although it's definitely possible to produce with pro tools, most popular daws are much easier to use.
