Is there a good forum online for Prog House production?
I don't want to litter this board with questions that don't have to do with dubstep. I'd like to know how afrojack makes that bendy twisty lead sound in Pitbull's "Give Me Everything Tonight" song. I know this isn't the forum to ask that question and I'm wondering if anyone could recommend a forum i could ask at. I've googled and can't find anything good.

It's a saw, and that "twistyness" you head is pitch bending, and dubstepforum has a house section

thanks didn't realize. I feel like there's more to the sound then just pitchbending. It doesn't just sound like a saw to me either.

yeah its probably just a saw wave, with glide on, so that instead of going from one note to the next when you change key, it glides the pitch up with the speed you set it, it also sounds kinda side-chained to summat which gives it that kind of swelling feel, dunno if thats the right word, thats all that came to my head haha. i wouldnt say its progressive house though haha, more like poppy house! that lead sound is like THE sound of dutch house though so you might wanna listen to some tracks like that to give you more of an idea of how to create the sound.

Thanks for the responses guys. Skimpi what's another song with that sound in it? I'm not talking about the classic dutch lead sound i'm talking about the smoother sound under Ne-Yo in the song.

If you're after questions re; the AfroJack sound, I'd recommend Laidback Luke's forum;

It's where AfroJack went to get production advice on his early beats, and he ended up getting signed through it
