If someone could point me in a good direction to finish the song, he would be god to me!

nothing amazing, but i enjoy the process of making hip hop, it feels more 'involved', if that makes sense.

dfaultuzr, i love that sample, what is the original?

Know it from this Dutch rapsong too.

Nice vibes on the 2nd tune! And i know what you mean, hiphop to me is more about vibes than technical production value.

Is there any boombap hiphop coming from the UK? Can only think of Hijack (classic oldschool!) and Rhyme Asylum. Recommendations are welcome :)

Hehe, i gave the 'be the first or leave it' mentality up long time ago, apart from the obvious classic loops of course.

I predominantly focus on hiphop...

The past 4 albums and several 12"s are very hiphop heavy... This is a track from the latest 12" -

Lots of samples, but also played live cello on top - as well as mc Vandell Harris.

Heres some dubstep-meets-hiphop stuff I did about a year ago, pity it never went anywhere. might get a mate to release it at some point. A lot of hiphop influence coming through in my music these days, mainly writing chilled midtempo/ not-very-glitchhop type business. Mix on my soundcloud if you want a suss, called Broken Hip Mix, tunes from the last 2 years or so I guess.

I've only ever listened to a bit of hip hop and never really felt it tbh, sometimes the rappers put me off, I dont enjoy being told how big a dick or how many hoes the guy has, having said that my experience of hip hop is pitiful.

yeah i get that sometimes too - but if you listen to hip hop from say the 90s or late 80s, the lyrics are not so much about money and shit... which makes it way cooler.
i recommend you get buckwilds "diggin in the crates" cd.. big remixes of serious tunes mostly from the 90s.
other then that check J Dilla and DJ Premiers beats.
