Manny- this track sounds dope from the start, love the drums, Bass is huuuuuuugggggggggeeeeeeee, holy fuck. everything in this track is dope man, great work, the rest of the track needs to sound as big as the sub though, only complaint, fucking kudos man.

Tehunreal- masterize lolololol, I love the title on this, track sounds pretty rad from the intro, lots of dissonance, drop is pretty rad but that first bass doesn't sound good at all. Clear up the dissonance and do something to the bass and this track has a lot of potential.
It's about to be really Ironic that I picked on you for dissonance though.


Harakiri- The intro is sick, so sick, if you did a whole track with that first sound and a harder sub it'd be dope, fuck the yoi stuff, too much ADD not sitting in the mix.

Do a whole track like that first part of the drop + a Ballsier sub and you've got a real banger, a real good one, like send it out good, I don't like the rest of it at all though and not a single other sound in that fits in the mix.


This isn't dubstep, and it's only electronic because it was done in FL, but, it's a WIP.
Mix of decent samples, albino bits and FL slayer.

@arfus the bass definitly got power and the sub too but the drums are to silente ,love the arpeggiator work in the end and beginning maybe put some more bits of it into the real bass part with some nice dub delay

@keses the idea is good but imo it doesnt have the same power like your other stuff, drum work is nice i really like the short sample beginning at 1:54

@mannyyyyyy really good remix love the neuro influence in your tune but have to agree that the sub is huge but the bass is really nice processed but doesnt have the same power like the sub. mix is really clean so maybe you have some headroom for some bassfrequencies; maybe add a reverb thats mimics a chorus ? but its huge like it is dont get me wrong

added a piano to the mix and some noises but dont know if it made it better or worse

Thanx for the advice. I did recently sidechain my kick with the bass, to let the drum breath a little. Is the bass to heavy and kill everything on the track?

When you say the first bass, are you talking about the bass at 0:26? Or right after the drop? If it's the first bass at 0:26, I didn't put a sub bass so it sounds a little flat I guess. I could possibly put a sub bass thats not too heavy for the intro, maybe it will be less flat. If your talking about the other one, I need more info on what doesn't sounds good because I don't really hear it.

@arfus I think it sounds pretty damn good! Maybe the synth is a BIT loud, but overall the production is good, I really have nothing bad to say about it, looking forward to the whole thing

@Kes-Es, it's different, so I like it. The sub downsweep is WAY too high though man, everytime it passes through it's overpowering the whole song. And it needs some EQing, some levels ajusting, but overall I like it, just needs more work, may I suggest cutting some frequencies to make it cleaner, maybe adding some background pads and effect, as it sounds kinda linear, but it's still pretty nice!

@BudSpencertron, I love how chill it sounds, loving the effects, the drums, everything! Nice work on making the stereo dynamic Now it might be my speakers but maybe the sub is a bit too loud, but it's probably just me. It really sounds great man, I got nothing bad to say either!

My WIP is in my sig (I know the volume is way down, it's still in the "keeping as much headroom as possible" phase ), it's only a few hours of work so far, but it's now that I need most help. So far the structure isn't there, that's normal, I just put different parts trying to figure out how this will turn out, but the first drop is where I worked. Cheers!

very ravey tune, i like the rewindy kicks. the drop is pretty sick, just need to hear those snares more man, the actual drum pattern is good tho. very filthy bass sounds!! overall sick track. my only quarm is the snare, other than that, respect.

quite a different intro if i do say so myself! take a little mid-low end out of the sample as it is overpowering the rest of the samples frequencies. very atmospheric and chilled track, i like the little strings that come in at 0:56, very nice. good percs too, nice and shuffly. those bass drops at 2:00 in are nice as hell, i cant imagine hearing this out, but id deffo have it on me playlist at home and smoke a zoot to it. safe!

Niiiiiice intro, i love cloudy intros with a few snaps here and there. mixing wise intro sounds good, maybe lower that arp synth a little, just a little tho. fuckin big drop tho, boom. Nice filtering. WHOAAAAAA BIG DROOOOOOOOOOP. bro thats fuckin big man, it made me jump and pull the dirtiest face ever. such a good contrast with the intro. in terms of production/mixing tips, i dont think you need any bro! REESPECCCCT!

Anywaaaays, heres another from me, its a little different from what i usually do, mainly the drum pattern, but it reminds me of some nice old Skream tracks. Have a listen!!!

@BudSpencertron - That tune is sick, i love the breakdowny bit, not really got anything bad to say about it haha. I kept rewinding it to find flaws but it's mint. Nice job man.

@Arfus - Love the arp, it sounds a bit like daft punk. I agree with what others said about the main bass/synth is a tad loud, maybe sidechain your kick with your main bass/sub/synth to make it punch through in the mix. But yeah the arp is sick so try and use it more, like little hints when the tune has dropped if that makes sense.

@Circusjam - Really like the acid style sounds, drop is sick aswel.I like the 'swing' the main wobble has. The drums are really tight and the switch ups with the bass are nice. Really like when the wobble cuts and you're just left with the sub, sounds mint. Good job, i don't really know how you'd improve it cause i don't really make that sort of sound haha. I can imagine hearing this out/dropping it. Good work bro.

@circusjam - Sick ass bass and I love the sample hah.. I like how old-school it sounds but near the end it gets a bit repetitive.

@stefevr - Heeavy man, the bass at the very beginning is a bit too loud, and so is the sub on the one after the bass, but it could be my speakers... The second one could also use some more mids. Love the screamo, and I'm looking forward to seeing it finished

@circusjam love the drumwork in this one and the straight walk forward bass ,was the drum roll 16 bit inspired? nothing bad to say maybe add a delay on the drum roll sometimes so it floats into the tune and add a hi pitched melody on top but not like flux meaner some sine or something

Yeah man 16bit got sick drums, so i wanted some. it sounds like the one from skullcrack but its not sampled from it at all, its just a kick drum played in the piano roll going from a g to a c to an a or something. safe man

Gonna compress the bass abit more so it's not so over powering. Might touch up the drums abit aswel.
@Sine69 - the vocals have been processed with a flange and autofilter, i just wanted to make them sound abit strange cause they didn't really fit the tune dry.

@BudSpencertron - i didn't even think to switch up the sub like that haha. Ill deffo give that a go.

Nice sounding drums mate, that wobble in the background doesn't seem to fit in my opinion. I don't know, I find it weird yet amazing.

Bit repetitive intro honestly, change the pattern a bit or let the buildup come sooner.
Pretty cool drop tho, nice sounds but seems your snare need some beefing up.
Try changing some notes here and there. Nice track mate!

You develop a hearing for a mixdown, don't force it.
That kick seems weird in some places tho, seems it's off on certain moment.
Didn't expect that drop tho, I expected something more laidback. But the sounds fit well, drums could use some beefing up at the drop.


I've started a project on something "filthy" for the first time and it's the first time that I actually dig something "filthy" made by myself.
Could use some pointers on the mixdown and overall.
