Re: Help Me Make That Sound - 2011.
fucking love badklaat
Interested to peep this wobble chat. I was doing one the other night in Massive by modding the cutoff on filter 1 and 2 with different LFOs, and using the stepper to bounce between the output of each filter. filters in parallel, of course, and oscillators sent to both. simple technique but fun, the rest is personal taste. waves, filter type, resonance, LFO speed/shape, other modulation.
its just a good way to get that variation in speed at the beginning of the phrase.

Re: Help Me Make That Sound - 2011.
Havent really got a second to write it all out, so I took a quick screenie, if you need more just lemme know but this is a pretty Badklaat/Requake kinda sound imo, especially if you play it in the lower notes

Anyone wanna help me out with my query? (at the top of the page haha)

Re: Help Me Make That Sound - 2011.
thanks for the helps guys, got a really nice sound from this exactly what i was looking for
CaptainPlanet, I'd help you with your sound question but Id have no idea where to start, the best i can say is I believe Funtcase is a Reason user and it sounds a tad like a Ramp LFO but Im not confident on that one.

Making a Massive Preset in Reason - Question
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=udnVYLLlGVg
^^^ I've been trying to make this sound in Reason. I've gotten close, but it's still too rough of a sound. I'm using the Wavetable and I'm modulating LFO1 with OSC 1 Position (Pos). I am sort of getting the sound but it seems Massive works differently than Thor. It seems to be simpler. Any help on how to make this sound with Reason???

Re: Making a Massive Preset in Reason - Question
Thor is capable of usig wavetable synthesis like massive so they actually are capable of working the same. And just experiment is the best advice I can give as I can't open the video diff now .

Re: Making a Massive Preset in Reason - Question
Wavetable synthesis is definitely not my area of expertise but I'm assuming Thor uses different wavetables than Massive. You aren't gonna get the same sound.
Just take the basics from the tutorial and apply it to Thor and you'll get something decent.

Re: Making a Massive Preset in Reason - Question
Well yea Thor has only a couple wavetables to choose from. But just saying you can get similar movement in the sound. Thor is very nice. I like to rewire reason though cause the sequencer is bollocks ( did inuse that word correctly) in reason.

Re: Help Me Make That Sound - 2011.
just a regular sine wave low octave really low like F1 and have like a pitch bend from C2 to F1 for half a bar or if you have the vengeance sample packs there are loads of sub bass pitch bends which is where I think that producer got it from.iramdubstep wrote:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AEM45e1Q ... r_embedded

Re: Making a Massive Preset in Reason - Question
Yea I've been messing with it and on the PPG Format WaveTable thing I've gotten decent results. Still stuck though. I'm not really looking for an exact Chrispy copy preset, just sometimes the Bitcrusher setting on Scream 4 isn't the robotic voice noise I want.
Re: Making a Massive Preset in Reason - Question
sometimes a shitty distorted sound can be awesome when it's equalized
