Pretty good. Pretty, pretty, pretty... pretty good.
Nature of existence etc. Right up my street. Sound track was intense. Special FX were believable, which is good considering it's over 30 years old. Strong performances from William Hurt and Blair Brown
7/10
Greatness
Everyone should watch this

^^For. Real.

Image
Ip Man - The story of the man that taught Bruce Lee.
As a martial arts fan I was very impressed with this. No toooo much wire work/camera tricks. The Wing Chun was top notch and only modified a bit for the big screen.
In the context of MA films - 7/10

And his wife is peng!

Ip man 2 is worth watching but not as good
what is of value and wisdom for one man seems nonsense to another.

A lot funnier than I thought it was gonna be, I always enjoy movies in which the main character is a complete fuck up

5/10

trailer looked really good when i first saw it but,,,predictable story and dialouge.... felt like they tried to mash too many themes together in a lazy way. action/ cgi wasnt even that memorable to make up for it either.

James Cagney shines in this 1938, fast-talking-high-trouser gangster flick. Not necessarily his best performance it's just everyone else is a bit shit in it. Entertaining none the less and it was also interesting to see Bogart play a bit of a coward.
Ending was bullshit though but to be expected from a 30's monochrome understanding of morality/the criminal mind.

"What do ya know, what do ya say?"

This was great, But then the idea that Mr Brainwash was in fact Banksy. Then I watched it again and was like, Oh yeah. That makes sense now :cornlol:
