Midi Keyboard Lag in Ableton
I have my keyboard hooked up and when I press a key, it takes about half a second to activate a sound in Ableton. I don't have this problem when using FL or the standalone synths. Is there a setting I could correct to fix this?
Thanks
Thanks
Re: Midi Keyboard Lag in Ableton
It's probably not the MIDI information that is lagging but the output. Go into Preferences > Audio and see what you have listed for Driver Type and Audio Device. The Audio Device should be either your interface, if you have one, or ASIO.

Hah. Set the buffer up to like 8k+ on ASIO. I think that's how high it goes, yeah, never use the defualt, always ASIO. Only probelm is you're gonna get hella mad once your regular audio and ASIO audio don't match up. But for some reason mine doesn't haven conflicts.

Lower buffer size = lower latency.ephyks wrote:Hah. Set the buffer up to like 8k+ on ASIO. I think that's how high it goes, yeah, never use the defualt, always ASIO.
