Re: Illuminati/New World Order
conspiracy theories make me cringe.
plus people who follow them believe they have some sort of 'higher knowledge'. Plus they tell you not to believe anything you are told, but if you dont believe Mr Conspiracytheory then you are blind to whats going on.
Dont get me wrong, some of its interesting, but when I question anything that theorists say, they act like i have just one timed there nan.

The conspiracy theorists are just another "THE MAN" telling you what to believe.

Re: Illuminati/New World Order
imo the idea that there are shadowy figures in the background who secretly run the world seems equally as plausible as the posibility that we democratically elect our leaders to represent the norms and values of the population... I don't hold particularly strong opinions on either side of the debate but i do find it interesting to research the conspiracy theories even if i dont neccesarily believe them

^^^ Definitely. Only after reading about them for yourself can you form an opinion on it.
IMO, most conspiracy theorists just pick what they want to be true, rather than what they think might be true.

pretty much everyone does that, not just conspiracy theorists. affirmation of belief.garethom wrote:

the phenomenon of 'believe 1, believe them all' is ridiculous and circular reasoning is the enemy of progress but it's always worth looking into something if only to make you more informed when arguing with stupid twats

Re: Illuminati/New World Order
i read a great psychology paper on that, how conspiracy theorists latch on to the theories because they're more comfortable than embracing the unknown. i'll see if i can find it again.64hz wrote:pretty much everyone does that, not just conspiracy theorists. affirmation of belief.garethom wrote:

Re: Illuminati/New World Order
In terms of ruling over humanity, what purpose would them being satanists actually serve? I think they'd leave something as subjective and controversial as religious belief out of their agenda. To me that kinda seems like the churches attempts to deter people from these groups. I think this because, groups such as the Illuminati (if they do exist) would usually rank above the church in terms of power. Something which people couldn't tolerate in the past.jrisreal wrote:personally I believe in this stuff. Scary business though and to top it all off, theyre all satanists.
Those could be accessed too.borrowed wrote:op they have scanners for these forums, be safe and talk only through pms

I know a coupld of people in the freemasons and have been to their hall and met a load more, they strike me as a load of boring middle aged middle class men that want an excuse to get away from their wives once a week to hang about with other middle aged middle class men, they get things done a bit easier from fellow members but other than that it really didnt seem to me like they were likely to have any cool secrets or able to have a big agenda.
Re: Illuminati/New World Order
Yeah, I always thought it was like a "circle of friends" or playgroup for Middle aged men. I'm sure if they had "secrets" they wouldn't be so open about their presence.Mr Hyde wrote:I know a coupld of people in the freemasons and have been to their hall and met a load more, they strike me as a load of boring middle aged middle class men that want an excuse to get away from their wives once a week to hang about with other middle aged middle class men, they get things done a bit easier from fellow members but other than that it really didnt seem to me like they were likely to have any cool secrets or able to have a big agenda.

My dad is a freemason and that description is very accurate.Mr Hyde wrote:I know a coupld of people in the freemasons and have been to their hall and met a load more, they strike me as a load of boring middle aged middle class men that want an excuse to get away from their wives once a week to hang about with other middle aged middle class men, they get things done a bit easier from fellow members but other than that it really didnt seem to me like they were likely to have any cool secrets or able to have a big agenda.

Don't even think class has anything to do with it, when I was very young and lived in Plymouth, some guy who ranked above my dad in the navy invited him to join, and he was just some standard shit flicker and my mom worked in a chippy at the time.Mr Hyde wrote:I know a coupld of people in the freemasons and have been to their hall and met a load more, they strike me as a load of boring middle aged middle class men that want an excuse to get away from their wives once a week to hang about with other middle aged middle class men, they get things done a bit easier from fellow members but other than that it really didnt seem to me like they were likely to have any cool secrets or able to have a big agenda.
Saying that, they have risen up the class system slightly since...

Nah, he turned it down anyway, because he was busy on the nights they met. No stonecutter shit, the guy just asked him if he wanted to join.
Re: Illuminati/New World Order
When I had a BSc viver the bloke gave me a masons handshake at the end (little finger tucked into the palm), I didn't do it back- could only tell while handshaking.....thought it was a bit of a dodgy thing to do when deciding the grade of a student after 3 years work!
Re: Illuminati/New World Order
garethom, what is a shitflicker?
Re: Illuminati/New World Order
Just a term me and some mates use for a standard low level goon, basically.
Re: Illuminati/New World Order
There's no reason to believe there are not exlusive clubs or organisations like this, in the UK there are the Free Masons which is a very exclusive club with all its rights and privelages that it gives to its members.
The Illuminati was formed in 1776 and is a real group of select people, however no one knows to what extent their power reached and whether the decisions they made shaped history as they are a secret soceity.
I don't let it bother me, who needs paranoia.
