People dropping the mic after a show
Why???
I've seen this for rap, hip hop, dnb, dubstep, glitch, etc.
What the fuck is the point? Don't they realize that someone has to bend down, pick up the mic, and freak out if that $200 mic just broke because of your stupid ego? You fucking dropped it on a hard wooden floor! You fucking ass!

Re: People dropping the mic after a show
When I used to play 'real music' I used to smash shit up all the time, amps, mics, guitars but in order for this to actually have any worth it has to be your own equipment, people smashing other people's shit is lame
what is of value and wisdom for one man seems nonsense to another.

I opened for eddie money one time (don't ask how or why) and I was using their equipment, I set an SM58 down on the stage for like half a second and the sound guy comes over saying "if you drop that mic again I'll fucking kill you" I told him to piss off, what a tnuc.

never understood the point of smashing up your equipment, it just seems like a waste of money really

ah that explains your outlookparticle-jim wrote:death metal
I could never understand how death metal guys valued sterile musicianship over actual feeling and emotion

Yeah that sucks man, when i did sound engineering for live bands people would break shit all the time and do they care no!
But i have to admit it gets a reaction from the crowd but it's better if they do it on their own stuff.

True, if a venue would somehow let people smash up gear I'd just take the stuff home instead.particle-jim wrote:never understood the point of smashing up your equipment, it just seems like a waste of money really

Those that are like that don't get anywhere in the scene.capo ultra wrote:I could never understand how death metal guys valued sterile musicianship over actual feeling and emotion
