Yo all,
Can't help but notice that a lot of house releases on vinyl cost at least £2/£3 more than other genres. Any reason for this? Is it just because retailers have to import a lot of them? Not really bothered either way, I buy more than my fair share, but just curious?
Question About House Vinyl Prices
Re: Question About House Vinyl Prices
think its largely down to there being a lot of imports (they seem to be between £8 and £10 more or less)
and maybe sometimes to make money back if its a very ltd press?

Guess so, that's a good point. Not sure of any strictly house UK labels to compare against, just some times tests my resolve to fork out a tenner for a single track!
Re: Question About House Vinyl Prices
a lot of UK i pick up is around the £7 mark
some as low as £6
i know exactly what u mean - i have to think twice now about buying some imports for just one track, though i often do
