Damn it dude, that shite is almost as expensive as what I'm looking for.

Anyway, I found an used DJM-500 for 450 EUR. Somebody knows a better deal below that price?

Do these things have 110-220V power selector or should I include an adaptor to outrageous shipping cost + customs tax? :|

these particular are made for the us maarket i think, so u should get yourself an adaptor which souldn't be a problem :)
customs tax? thats a small peace of electronic i think these should be taxfree, at least there are in BG...
the problem with ebay is 1st a lot uf scam, 2nd sum shits cum in peaces, 3rd they usually don't ship overseas...me got a friend outthere so i'm wiring him da $ and then ship 1st to his house to check the equipment and then he ships to me, so 1st hes checking the stuff for me if its OK/if not he can easiely make a chargeback or whaeva.../, 2nd he ship me stuff faster and ensured/giving me a code i can track the stuff from my pc/, 3d the shipping is usually a lot cheaper then they charge on ebay...

as i'm not the biggest pioneer fan i would recommend the vestax vmc-004, the old edition without xlr. it's about half as expensive as the pioneer DJM500 and the sound is bomb. no built-in fx though... but if you ask me the built-in fx from the DJM500 are wack anyway (except the flanger). maybe try ebay for an old kaoss pad and that should do the trick...

What you reckon about the VMC-004 FXW? And why would you not want XLR?

if you're gonna go vestax at least get a PMC05mkIII. i got mine used for like $165. shits built like a tank. only reason i want a new mixer is to incorpate a 3rd turntable, that and mid-EQ's.

vestax faders are the shit. vestax EQ's sound bomb. vestax equipment takes a serious beating. just find one with the features you want and dont be afraid of buying used.

Mackie is making a 4 channel version of the D2 aptly named the D4.
SERIOUS piece of kit. Magnetic fader and the whole 9 yards.
I just can't find any info on it. I saw a pic a while ago tho.

If it's only info you're looking for then go there.
They say nothing about the price and you can't even order them from Mackie's site yet.
Anyway, looks like heavy piece. Probably over my budget.

Yeah Vestax gear isn't that great. Thier plastic faders are sub-standard when you can spend less on Stanton gear that is using P&G faders - the same ones seen on mixers like the Rane Empath ($1000)

wow. ive dropped mine down sets of stairs, a tv fell on it (the tv broke) macoroni and cheese and beer have been spilt into it......

everything works fine. just gotta replace the crossfader (its wearing out after 2 years)

I think the older models might be built stronger

i don't think i might need xlr for home mixing/listening purposes. the old edition of the vmc004 was about 100 euros cheaper and i thought you want to save some money :)

Dug up this thread because my Vestax mixer started to hiss, and i reealised its not the best mixer to have in the long run. Id rather invest in somthing a bit better n that.

Been looking at around £250-300 and only one has stood out to me.

I'm not a scratcher but i like the extra space on my desk it will give me, and i only need 2 channels and the curve settings looks extreamly helpfull for blending.

My question is has anyone use this, for a legnth of time, and would you recomend it? or should i go for the finance option and get a X:One 02 Mixer for £375.

Thanks in advance.

ecler make gorgeous mixers, i say do it. might be worth waiting a month or two though as apparently the next generation are coming out very soon so these will drop in price even further.
