Check out the Dungeon on the 25th August - I put on a regular night called GONNABESICK, we've moved on from a year of succesful events at the Soul Cellar to a new monthly night at the "Dubgeon". It's not big names, we don't take ourselves too seriously, but it's cheap, it's filthy, and it's getting more popular every time. And I'm pretty open to giving sets to people who can smash it. We play Dubstep, Breaks and D&B mainly, with other bits of random other stuff depending on the DJ's

Come and check it out!

See you there,
Alan (aka Loveable Rogue)

Just moved home to near Winchester from Exeter where the Deep End guys have spoiled us rotten every month with big bookings. Sucks to hear that there's no scene in Southampton; I'd definitely try to make it down to good nights nearby.
Is there anything going on elsewhere in Hampshire? I'd hate to suddenly be unable to get to any big dances.

Yo, long time lurker, thought this may be an appropriate time to start posting considering ive lived in southampton forever. There isnt any dedicated deep nights at all, just student clubs really which the occasional dubstep/drum and bass big name booking. Loefah at dub kings was probably the best booking junk has seen in terms of dubstep, but they stopped doing the night before all the tearout stuff got popular which is strange. I think the best bet would be to start a dedicated event at a smaller venue, I know a crew of people that have started doing that with the whole jukey/house/130 stuff and i think they receive a fair crowd, although ive never been. Me and a mate are/were considering doing something like that because were big into dub/reggae/dubstep and there is literally only one day in the year dedicated that kind of music.

Me and a few mates are starting a monthly deep dubstep night in Southampton. First night is on the 13th Oct 2011, got Youngsta playing at Soul Cellar. The night is called Contraband. Not enough deep stuff down here!!

After spending a year down south, I played at Soul Cellar, Junk, Wax, 90 Degrees, Oceana and more.
It was cool but you have to compromise the type of Dubstep you play. If you are starting a Deep Night I'm away from Solent and up top at the Uni, but I can help push the music!
There is a scene. But look very very very hard.

Huge. Will definitely be making this.
Have you got an event page or anything so I can help spread the word?
