yeah i made it with massive. it was a simple reese with i think one modern talking osc or something similar added. from then on its just notch filtering, low pass filtering, distortion, phasers, flangers, wow filter and a really short delay to give it some kind of metallic sound.Macdaddy1129 wrote:Any details on that? That quite nice

I like your sound design3za wrote:

Sound is a patch I made in the Bazille alpha, with a touch of classic delay/reverb, sequenced with Reaktor. I would go into more detail, but I don't total understand how it's made tbh![]()

Wow man this sound preatty cool. You can feel the emotion in it! Would you mind giving some details on how its made?
This sound great! Quick question, when you automate the notch filters is there any technique or is it just completely random? This is my attempt Soundcloud and i tried to make an interesting sweeping design of the filters but i dont think it worked very well.bRRRz wrote:a little bit of resampled bass/neuro stuff:

Usually I just go random but im not experienced with reeses. I'm sure the pro's know what their doing when they do it.dubesteppe wrote:Quick question, when you automate the notch filters is there any technique or is it just completely random?
I dig this! Would you mind explaining how you made it?amphibian wrote:Soundcloud
Growl just before the drop. I want it deeper and heavier but it's on it's way.

@ 0.02 it sounds like someone knocking on a door I like that, would like it even more if the knocks got fasterdubesteppe wrote:This is my attempt Soundcloud and i tried to make an interesting sweeping design of the filters but i dont think it worked very well.

Ok, thanks. I was using an 8 band eq with 8 notches. How many notches are thereee usaully?amphibian wrote:set up your bass patch, get your distortion on, add a notch filter, start knob-fiddling and record for a minute or two. Go back, pick out the good bits - resample, distort again, add another notch, rinse and repeatYou'll eventually learn how some sounds are created based on notch filter cutoff/resonance automation.
Thanks! I'll try that out. You should definately turn your reese into one, because it sounded really good.jrisreal wrote:Usually I just go random but im not experienced with reeses. btw, your reese isnt bad. but put it down an octave an see what that sounds like.

My apologies - and yeah great idea of a thread imo - makes those who have created cool sounds a bit more pro-active. Also, sometimes it's hard to tell how a sound is made by someone elsedubesteppe wrote:I dig this! Would you mind explaining how you made it?amphibian wrote:Soundcloud

People please try to give a short description of how your sounds are made. That was my point in creating this thread, so that we could all learn some thing. I wanted to make this the opposite of the "Help me make that sound thread" because in that thread it seems like its mostly people asking how things are made and very few of the questions actually get answered.
