Really... are we serious? So first we had Avicii being ripped by Leona Lewis and her producers and now Flux is basically getting the same thing done to him... Its like they took Flux Pavilion's production quality turned it to shit and then rapped over it. FANTASTIC....

And this one of the many reasons why Jay Z should never, ever, ever be considered as 'The Greatest of All Time' which somehow he has made a lot of people thing he is.

i was convinced flux had recorded that vocal himself for some reason?

from what i can tell from that MTV article a producer simply remade the flux p song at a different tempo and so that it had more of an "ill hiphop feel."
the production is very very poor, however, so that's quite the joke to me.
They didn't remake shit, they fucking bought the song, slowed it down, and rapped over it.

wow

Yeah I agree with pretty much everyone here, although for the 4-5 songs that actually work really well its worth listening to the album

True.

His verse on this is still one of his best moments I reckon:

A friend of mine once said that
Kanye West is the Steve Urkel of rap.

True on so many levels!

Do they not even credit him? I just read this article: http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/166770 ... onds.jhtml

They mention the beat was written by Sham Joseph. Do you get writing credit if you "buy" someone else's song?

Depending on buyer's generosity, I believe.

yeah, it's been a while since Jay-Z was on top of anything musicwise.... in regards to the sample, according to wikipedia, the sample credits says:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Watch_the_Throne wrote:"Who Gon Stop Me" contains samples from "I Can't Stop" as performed by Flux Pavilion.
so they have probably negotiated a fee or percentage for using this on the album - even though it seems pretty weak to sample a track from last years hip, undergrund phenomenon - but it sure ain't the first (or last) time Kanye has done this...
but sure big things for Flux P! hopefully will he will get to produce for some of the american rappers himself, instead of them jacking his ideas to make them sound worse.

TBF I think that's a pretty average verse. He goes in a lot harder with Big L on his 97 Freestyle: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OYfKMIdoJL0

I will admit that Jay Z has produced one of the best albums of all time with Reasonable Doubt however most of the props he receives has nothing to do with that album.

I lost a lot of respect for Jay when he got too big for his boots and started hating on Nas and he got what he deserved when Nas killed him with Ether.

There are 100s of artists better than Jay Z, most of them just haven't sold out and aren't married to 'the queen of R&B' and therefore a lot of heads with never hear their music despite it being levels above Jay.

Meh can't see why anyone would like their tune getting raped even for millions but hey that's me I guess. Even for such a tune.
