i mean, you have 53 followers in just over a week, you're still in the early stages. I'm sure you're making something

true i was just used to bringing in 7-8 bucks on a good day, but then i had some things happen and slacked for a couple days so.

the remedy is to get back in it.... i need to add that to the tutorial, that you should be active for at least a month before you take a break... I think that 45 min a day every day really helped me out in the long run

This sounds like fun, actually interested in blogging/reading blogs. Surely this community has more up to offer than the thousands of "just post emo pictures 24/7" tumblr blogs.

well the good thing is im about to start posting up graffiti tutorials, so that should bring in some traffic.

basically you can measure your $ by 10% of your followers... at 200 I was making 20 a day, nearly 300 i'm making about 30+ per day, with 1hr.+ effort.

tumblr is a far cry from what blogger is about...

tumblr = reposting/reblogging some random shit you found

the blogger community expects you to have an attention span longer than five seconds

true.. you and i were first wave though, so we have to negate 30+ from the original ninjas who fell off... shame on me for having a cut and dry statistic...

i'm guessing it has to do more with your topics and activity, rather than followers... but followers help.

so many factors involved, i'll have a magnum opus before long..

that's what i've been doing as well, and it's worked so far..

relatability is key, got to keep the masses entertained if you want activity...

look at the 15mm wargame bloggers... they must spend 17+ hours online to get the activity that they have... though it's proof that if you stick to the commenting strategy you'll get the results..

pending interest levels and activity .... there's a formula in here somewhere...

Why is this pressure to go mainstream prevalent in all areas of my life?

I don't wanna be the blogging equivalent of Skrillex!

realtalk though, definitely gonna have to start posting more tunes for people to listen to and topics that everyone can relate to as opposed to just musicians. I wish I could find some sweet music production blogs so I could just nab a bunch of their followers. Also need some damn backlinks!

All the production blogs I know run off their own wordpress or something; doesn't seem that active on blogger.
