Well, I finally made it! I tried to register last week but that Coltrane verification question just kept me bouncing back, there was no way of answering it right! I'm sure I'll enjoy my stay, I'll be around the Production, Hardware & Technical subforum mainly... ;-)

Thank you, I am American and I have been heavily listening to dubstep music for about 9 months so i guess i was bound to produce some messed up offspring. what i mean is that im working on a project im calling Centaur, it will incorporate the heavy sound of bass dubstep along with the struggles and culture of the southern rap (heavy bass, cars, parties, making money) one thing most importantly to note is that the music will definately be one of the most unique things to have a whole project dedicated to the mixture of rap and dubstep AND ALSO THAT THE RAP VERSES WILL BE FAST PACED with smashmouth bass along with dubstep solos. I dislike popular rap and the style im using in my lyrics will hook onto the ear of anyone who cares to listen. as with all music there are going to be deeper tracks that make you listen to the words instead of just the way they sound. With this project i hope that you guys might be able to help immerse me more in the dubstep scene. i have verses written out and most of the bones together and im kind of looking for a unique dubstep DJ to help me out. Please note that what im doing is completely new and unseen to me or anyone i know and with what i have in mind the world isnt ready yet, and to me that constitutes good music

Im Andy, from Australia. new to dubstep, made a little bit of electronic stuff in the past but only for myself. a few House songs, used to make hip hop beats years ago. a few of my friends and I made a few demos, we were called "4564' which is our postcode. I used to make alot of glitchy/melodic songs, different kinda electro versions of acoustic songs. all for demos and friends. I think theres a myspace i made ages ago, myspace.com/noahexperiment .

I have been playing Hardcore(real hardcore, punk-hardcore) for about 12 years, played in a few bands that were mildly receptive, toured australia alot. went to NZ once, played in a bunch of metal bands. Mainly guitar, but I always make demos of different styles, one ended up turning into a 'cult' band, Abraxis. myspace.com/abraxishc I have since been able to consider myself friends with a few of my favourite bands, bands i loved growing up on, have a few shows this year. and i play guitar in a nu-wave hardcore band, Wish for wings, really really dull an nu metalish, but when im playing interstate we are just big enough to impress girls at clubs. it sounds like im bigging myself up but im not, just a gauge on where im coming from to here.

I must say, the coolguy elitism isnt as bad here than other genres. Stoked on dub, i like riffs.

I think the reason why dubstep is getting noticed in heavier scenes is the riffs, the BPM and energy is quite similar to moshy breaks in most hardcore/metal stuff. if i listen to some breaks in Terror or Ringworm, i get similar vibes in some Borgore riffs. loving it.
if you care.. listen to some stuff

http://www.myspace.com/wishforwingsband I think, my net is going real slow
theres facebooks aswell, cheers guys

Hi all, names Kryz. I live in the UK and I've been producing randomn stuff as a hobby for years now. Just getting back into it all after my PC died about a year ago - its taken me a while to get a new one. I suffer from never being able to finish anything I start!

What's up guys, my name is Johnny and I'm new here. I love dubstep, and run a dubstep site called Dubstep 101. If you're interested, check out the site (link in signature), we also put out a weekly podcast with new dubstep tunes and news (also embedded in my sig). Hope to stumble across some new artists on here as well as make some friends along the way.

Whats up all you fellow dubsteppers,

A nice sunny hello from San Diego,

Ive been into electro, house and all that good stuff and been listening to dub for about 2 years now, pretty accustomed to it. I actually saw skrillex before I or anyone else had any idea who he was two years back and i pride myself on that, lol. Anyway been djing for a couple months now and would love to produce some stuff to spin at these local parties.. I have been reading around on here for about a month you you all seem like a solid crew. Look forward to joining the community.

Newcomer over here. Living in finland and trying to get myself up to date with the dubstep scene (which seems to grow with massive speed, if I may add). Been making music for about 10 years and I've finally started to think about releasing something. It isn't something special or something new, just music the way I like to hear it! You can check the songs out from my soundcloud page http://soundcloud.com/cribs . The newest tracks aren't there cos im planning to put them on a record of some sort. Have a listen and tell me what you think! :)

Peace.

(p.s. Sorry if someone already has my avatar in use.)

What's up? I'm from miami, and like to produce all kinds of electronic music. Maybe sometime I'll post some dub.

I like dr. p, flux, magnetic man, skrillex, rusko, and nero, I know they're really mainstream so that why I'm hoping to learn some more artists.

I just registered and don't know what to say, other than that I just started making dubstep a few days ago with FL Studio... and I'm finnish so people probably think I'm weird, but I *am* weird, since my sense of humor is weird. So, I'm gonna post my stuff in a new thread and hopefully stay here for a long time, but I doubt that'll happen since I'll probably be banned during the next week for my unintentional offensiveness...

EDIT: or I actually need to ask; the forum rules say that everything needs to be 100% legal, but what about when songs have samples from movies, TV shows, games, etc? Does that break the forum's rules?

Hey all. Up until this year I've been a proper metal head, but my music taste has really chilled out and I got really into some pink floyd and reggae and stuff. I attended Beatherder and Kendal Calling Festivals and the music there was awesome, Krafty Kuts, Herve and Craig Charles in particular. Now I'm really into dubstep and D&B.

I've just started with FL Studio 10 and am just looking to build up some experience with the program at the moment (:

So see you around.
