1point5 - Wormhole (garagey)

Post by 1point5 » Sun Aug 14, 2011 9:57 am

So tbh I don't really know the first thing about UKG of any sort... but I think this track is pretty garagey (is that a word?)

Would love some feedback on it as it's pretty experimental for me, even if it sounds a bit 90s-ish

Also I'm wondering whether to seek someone to do vocals on it or not

Here it is:

I'm not sure about the bass sound. It could use a bit more weight. They both sound a little weak.

I love the drum beat though, that garage influenced swagger. It makes the track. Nice stuff man. That clap could use a bit more sparkle in the treble region. I like the snare though. It could use a big drums switchup halfway through. I like it though, the drums are great and the overall sound is pretty damn good.

The kick's sitting pretty well. I'd pan that pingy bleep synth. Maybe make it sweep across? I think vocals would give it a nice polish. That and a bit more sub.

Oh sweet baby Jesus, that had a fantastic vibe. Those drums were fantastic, sat really well and really gave that garage vibe. Nicely done. Really big track you got here :W:

Massive thanks for the feedback guys :D

Had a few comments about the bass being a bit thin so I'm messing around with fattening the sound a bit, thanks for the other suggestions as well, I'll try them out :)
