Purist form ting.

But in seriousness, good for them but I wouldn't call it dubstep.

All that melts away when the lights are down and the bass is up.

That was truly awful - the music and video.
Although, I do find it mildly amusing that the drug they seem to be taking in the video - mycophenolate - can have the following side effects: Anxiety; back pain; constipation; cough; diarrhea; dizziness; headache; loss of appetite; mild stomach pain; mild tiredness or weakness; nausea; tremor; trouble sleeping; upset stomach; vomiting - and watching that video/listening to the tune can also cause those side effects.

I really don't mind Nero or Magnetic Man in the charts, it's a nice blend of Dubstep and pop that isn't a complete insult to the genre.

DJ Fresh and Modestep and the like can fuck right off though.

at least Nero haven't changed their sound up, they've been making tunes similar to this for years now. Magnetic Man are fast becoming way of a joke these days though :a:

Nero is pretty much ---> Slow filter opening build up ---> high pitched synthy chords ----> poppy vocal repeated ----> drum break ----> comby reesey bass with main vocal ----> repeat.

They used to actually try and do interesting stuff with their basslines. I really do blame Flux Pavilion for making everyone realise all they need is long held notes of that plasticy sounding synth.

I don't mind Nero too much. Happy for them getting some success.

But yeah, their not putting out the most interesting stuff right now. ;-)

thing is flux used to write some pretty cheeky basslines back when he was largely unknown, none of this 4 chord nonsense

^still a bit brosteppy for my taste but a fuck of a lot better than the shit he's pumping out now

Twilight was his best tune, of course he never released it. Damage and Bring Your Own Beats were alright too, unreleased of course.
