This thread should be renamed.

"Dungeon" is a shit name.

If only we could still mass-quote; it could be heavenly amounts of epic.

There are many in the states pushing the good sounds, you just have to dig. Also, if the real essence of Dubstep isn't available in your area, be proactive and make it happen.

this is true, chicago is not bad at all. in fact, noah d just played smart bar not too long ago, silkies going to be there on thursday. i've tried being proactive in my area, the sorry thing about it is, no one wants to listen unless it's 'dirty as fuck'.

ah man this pisses me off, its not youngstas sound that should have its name changed, thats real dubstep, its the new heavy shit that should have had a different name, as soon as ppl realised it was going that way. its like a group of kids that have been playin in a park being moved on by a bigger group of kids. fucking dread

The I<3Dubstep show had HULK on the flyer. I wouldn't expect anything less than an all-out bro-down.

Im all for each to there own, but im gonna be severely pissed off if mid range rubbish gets deem'd as real dubstep in the near future..Its good that dubstep is getting pushed back underground though.

I push the ''dungeon'' sound in my city, play near every fortnight at a local night and keep getting asked back because of what i play, its good to see newbies loving the sound i push instead of saying its ''boring'' which seems to be what most new ppl to dubstep say about the true stuff. As for changing the name of what youngsta plays...why? its dubstep and any yunx fan knows that

I always seen that dungeon thread we have in here but never bothered clicking on it cause i assumed it was another offshoot of brostep,oh well.

Also i think the real problem with dubstep is that anything in the 140 ballpark get labelled with it.Id be interested to see what would happen if there was a sudden rush of people making 120~ bpm songs with a broken beat and heavy sub, would that be accepted into the "house" catagory?

Yea man I know how you feel. My friends only listen to "Filth" They dont even have good enough subwoofers to appreciate some good tunes. I tried to play some loefah, and his computer speakers just farted some noise. :cornlol: And back to Skrillex they went.
