KROMESTAR

Post by distantlights91 » Thu Aug 18, 2011 12:18 am

I love both the albums this guy's released, My Sound was one of the first dubstep albums I came across and it's amazing, and Colourful Vibrations is just as good. However I've never got round to hearing many of his non-album tracks, if they're half as quality as the stuff on his albums then I reckon I'm missing out on a lot. I've heard Kalawanji and Surgery which are both sick tracks, though I prefer the more chilled dubby style tracks on the albums. Would any of you be able to recommend me some Kromestar tracks that I need in my life? Especially the more dub type ones, though any good Kromestar tune I haven't checked I'd be grateful for.

Badman and Quicktime are my favorites from him, dunno why. His tunes are all great though!

Check his last GetDarker podcast, B2B with Dark Tantrums. Their whole hour set was pretty much just unreleased dubs from the two of them, so worth a listen.

Yea man big fan of Kromestar. His tune Kalawanji was one of the first dubstep tunes I could play to my mates and not get an instant reaction of "WTF is this?" People groove to that track and I wish it cost less to buy on vinyl these days!

His release with Om Unit is brilliant a little bit of a change in tempo around 94 or something like that but kinda has a double time feel although I'm not sure how to mix it up into my sets.

For anyone that's interested "Spaceman" has come out again on white label at Chemical with "Zap Dance" & "Serial Killers" on the B-side.

Peace

For all those peeps interested in the more "beats" orientated styles he's been putting out (eg. OM Unit collabo) and will be putting out... We're putting on a night with him alongside a whole host big of Beats producers and DJ's. We've already been told his set is gonna be on some other next level shit..

If you are interested in seeing his evolution live you can find out more at https://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=266984313315131
