Hi All,

I'm from South Africa. Dubstep is picking up quite well here, more and more parties are popping up. I'm still quite new to Dubstep, been listning to it for about 2 years now but only recently really got into in.

I also try to produce my own tracks but have been putting it off for a while now. Will be getting into it soon, again... :)

Into Botgore, 16 Bit, Nero, Chase & Status, Giant, Joker and many more. But the main reason I joined this forum is to find out about more artist as I know there is plenty.

If anyone can point me into the right direction it would be great. :D

Hey there. :Q: A young dubstep fan from the east coast. Flux Pavillion gave me my first taste of the genre. SBTKRT and James Blake's albums have me feeling as if this genre and I could be a match.

whats going on everyone?

My name is Kevin, I produce under the name melogold. All my tunes are free here: http://soundcloud.com/ic3burglm

I mainly produce glitchy electronic hip-hop with a heavy dub/dubstep influence. It's all over the place.

Just wanted to introduce myself to everyone, lookin' forward to contributing to the forum! Peace

Hi everyone!

Im a total newbie to dubstep. Like a week ago I heard Skrillex and fell in love with it. Now Im tryin to get to know other artist too. I love the rawness of dubstep style.
Unfortunately I've been on a sickleave for more than 2yrs now cos physical illness. It sucks to be on chronic pain. I've been learning to make music for about a year now. Music is a joyfull way for me to express myself, things that I cant physically express at the moment.

I wish everyone all the best!

btw. here is a link to a teaser of my upcoming dubstep/electro project, I hope to make an EP sometime later. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s-GeXX-B1do

Hello everyone. Been a member for a while but not too active. It was suggested by some friends that this is a cool forum, so I'm coming over to snoop around.

Hello!

My name is Fredrik, and I live in an eastern suburb of Oslo, called Rælingen.

Have to admit I only recently started enjoying dubstep, as the tracks I heard a couple years back were just wobwob, nothing else, which I found rather boring. Could have been bad examples, but that's all in the past. I heard some dubstep with a bit more melody and now I listen to the stuff quite a lot, and also developed a taste for the less melodic stuff.

Overall I like all kinds of music (I believe there's good music in any genre, if one bothers to explore instead of closing their mind after hearing one track that didn't suit their taste), so I guess it was just a matter of time before I started liking dubstep, too. I've also been producing various types of music for a couple years, but I wouldn't say I'm particularly good yet :p

At the moment my favourite tune is Zomboy - Game Time. I don't care if it's "not real dubstep" or whatever, I quite like Skrillex too. Nothing wrong with going in new directions :)

Take care, be nice to others and keep an open mind! :)

-Fredrik

New to the forum.

I may eventually take some flack for it but Skrillex has been my introduction to your genre as a genre. Have since ventured into other flavors. Bassnectar comes to mind.

Thanks for having me. I look forward to learning lots.
