sounds to me like it could be in massive the oscilators put from spectrum onto formant and then automating the intensity with a step sequencer or something.

dunno never trid to make it.

id love to be able to create a similar sound to jack beats - What.

sounds like the best didgeridoo ever haha

^yeah i love that bass too...

they just seem to take their task VERY seriously, and to tweak everything...

they were both dnb cats at some point.. so im pretty sure they can make considerable grunts out of basic patches...

All-pass phase filter modulation. Then try sticking some formant eq/filtering on top of that.

I can get a similar sound with Ableton Live's Phaser plug-in with the colour @ 0%, dry/wet @ 100%, and feedback around .8/.9. Then play around with the frequency, and try the LFO with the phase set to 0.
Then it's up to you what to do after that (compress, chorus etc.). Also works nicely if you try some LP and BR filter modulation as well.

Have fun.

They did an interview on radio 1 recently (they called it a masterclass :L) they discussed how they use logic, and also kissy sell out did a remix in like 30 minutes, if that helpss.. whats really impressive are the jack beats live sets, they are mental, its no pressing play and crossfading, like the majority of dj's in the world.

that first vid link, i think maybe careful res settings and regular cutoff automation for the dial-esque sound. similar to caspa, no?

cool interview,

ive seen another interview of them talking about their use of an almost exclusively itb studio... with the exception of drum machines...

recent releases sound like its itb tho... they have skills at tweaking for sure.

ive been exploring techy percs over jackin house beats these days... quite jack-beats-esqe.. a little too much for my taste sometime.. i feel like biting.

as djs i have been told they're very clean but play in the same waters for a whole set.. nothing too extravagant, too vibey, too deep...

id enjoy a blawan set much more i guess

but their production level is insane
