A lot of the music he played wasn't to my taste, but can't fault the atmosphere - it was going off at the time... I don't think I'd want to listen to the set again as I probably wouldn't enjoy it in my headphones and I definitely wouldn't enjoy it in a normal club environment, but at carnival, after a load of booze and with 2,000 people going nuts it was really good.craigjames wrote:was diplo that bad?? i dont like everything he plays but he gets the dancefloor rammed. ive seen him play some amazing sets. im assuming he must have been playing a bunch of that heavy metal dubstep stuff, correct?

he played some fucking swedish house mafia. i think that says enough really.craigjames wrote:was diplo that bad?? i dont like everything he plays but he gets the dancefloor rammed. ive seen him play some amazing sets. im assuming he must have been playing a bunch of that heavy metal dubstep stuff, correct?
also played a new major lazer song that sounds hardstyle-ish (really).
i guess you could probably have fun to it if you were there, but watching it live from the internet it sounded abysmal. and that's coming from someone who enjoyed the first major lazer record...

Big set, loads of energy in it. Slamming in as many big tunes as possible as fast as possible, appropriate for the vibe. Good to hear the odd vinyl wobble in there too, so much nicer to hear than a sterile perfect CD set
